And if you're worrying about Michael Jackson or Bill Clinton or somebody else, you are disempowered. You are giving it all away to icons. Icons which are maintained by an electronic media, so that you want to dress like X or have lips like Y. This is shit-brained this kind of thinking. That is all cultural diversion. And what is real is you and your friends, your associations, your highs, your orgasms, your hopes, your plans, and your fears. And we are told no. We're unimportant, we're peripheral, get a degree, get a job, get a this, get a that, and then you're a player. You don't even want to play in that game. You want to reclaim your mind and get it out of the hands of the cultural engineers who want to turn you into a half-baked moron consuming all this trash that's being manufactured out of the bones of a dying world. Where is that at?

@ 35 min) When I got these ideas in 1971, 1972 and wrote The Invisible Landscape and all that, I was too hot for public consumption. I was manic and grandiose and classicly processed schizophrenic.
I hope I wasn't as offensive as some of the cases that I've experienced myself, because I tried never to lose my sense of humor and my good taste, but I did tend to be didactical – time meant nothing to me! I mean I would corner people in rooms and seven hours would go by and I was unrolling diagrams ... It amazes me!
You have no idea how toned down and how ... my whole career is about not emptying it up too much, not raving too much, not ... always appearing or being selfmocking, ironical ... at home with the idea that I might be wrong. These are the manners the "schizophrenic" must learn in order to pass among the "normals" without one dropping a no. 3 steel net mesh over you and hitting you with a tranquilizing dart.
So, you know, that was 72, 82, 92 ... my god, I'm slowly coming down from those trips!

Als ich 1971, 72 diese Ideen hatte und "Die Unsichtbare Landschaft" und all das schrieb, war ich zu aufgedreht fürs allgemeine Verständnis. Ich war manisch und grandios und schizophren im klassischen Sinn.
Ich hoffe, ich war nicht so ungehörig wie einige Fälle, die ich selbst erlebt habe, denn ich versuchte, nie meinen Sinn für Humor und meinen guten Geschmack zu verlieren, doch ich neigte dazu sehr erzieherisch zu sein – Zeit bedeutete mir nichts! Ich meine, ich würde die Leute zusammentrommeln, und sieben Stunden würden vergehen, in denen ich ein Diagramm nach dem anderen erklärte ... Es macht mich fertig!
Ihr könnt euch nicht vorstellen, wie gedämpft, wie abgebremst und wie ... meine gesamte Karriere hängt davon ab, es nicht zu sehr auszureizen, nicht zu rabiat, zu radikal zu sein ... immer ironisch aufzutreten, voller Selbstironie ... unter der Vorgabe, dass ich ja falsch liegen könnte. Das sind die Manieren, die ein "Schizophrener" lernen muss, wenn er sich unter "Normalen" bewegen will, ohne dass jemand eine Nr. 3-Stahlnetzmatte über dich wirft und dich mit einem Beruhigungspfeil niederstreckt.

@ 4 min) This is the point I wanted to make: there is between the ego and full understanding of reality a barrier, a problem: the fear of the ego to surrender to the fact of chaos. Chaos is what we have lost touch with. This is why it has been given a bad name, because it is feared by the dominant archetype of our world which is the ego, which clinches, because its existence is defined in terms of control. And the furious modelling process, that the ego endlessly carries out, is an effort to fight the absence of closure. The ego wants closure. It wants to complete explanation.
The beginning of wisdom, I believe, is the ability to accept an inherent messiness in your explanation of what's going on. Because nowhere is it writ, that human minds should be able to give full accounting of creation in all dimensions and on all levels. You know, Wittgenstein had this idea that philosophy should be, what he called "true enough", and I think that's a great idea. Let's just make it true enough because that's as true as it can be gotten.

Darauf wollte ich hinaus: zwischen dem Ego und einem vollen Verständnis der Realität gibt es ein Hindernis, ein Problem, und zwar die Angst des Egos, vor dem (Umstand des) Chaos zu kapitulieren. Es wird gefürchtet vom dominierenden Archetyp unserer Zeit, dem Ego, welches klammert, weil sein Bestehen als Beherrschung definiert ist. Und der grimmige Modellierungsprozess, den das Ego endlos ausführt, geschieht aus dem Bestreben heraus, der Abwesenheit von Schlussendlichkeit zu trotzen. Das Ego will Absolutheit – es will Erklärung vervollständigen.
Weisheit beginnt dort, glaube ich, wo jemand die Fähigkeit aufbringt, eine inhärente Unordnung in seiner Deutung von dem, was vor sich geht, zu akzeptieren. Denn nirgendwo steht geschrieben, dass der menschliche Verstand in der Lage sein sollte, vollständig Rechenschaft abzugeben über sämtliche Dimensionen und alle Ebenen der Schöpfung. Wittgenstein hatte diese Idee, dass Philosophie, wie er sich ausdrückte, "hinreichend wahr" sein müsste, und ich denke, das ist eine starke Idee. Machen wir es hinreichend wahr, denn wahrer ist es sowieso nicht zu haben.

I mean, I saw my parents became violently psychotic from not taking LSD.

@ 27 min) As many of you know, I am a great fan and spokesman for Psilocybin, for the Mushrooms.
The Mushrooms that I am so stoked on, were discovered in 1953 by Gordon and Valentina Wasson. Discovered in 1953, made absolutely schedule one illegal in 1966.
13 years was the window in which western civilization had to study this compound and figure out what it was for, and they were just beginning to focus upon it, when it was made illegal!
LSD discovered in 1937, not brought into the scientific literature until 1948, not generally available I believe in the laboratories until 1950, made total illegal in 1966. 16 years window!
Think about the fact, that when LSD was legal, psychiatrists, professional researchers were consistently reporting cures of chronic alcoholism with one 500 gamma dose. One dose cure – like a 50% curing rate without recidivism for chronic alcoholism. Spectacular findings were being reported! When LSD swept through the scientific community, for pharmacologists, for psychotherapists, for psychiatrists, it had the same kind of excitement and feeling of breakthrough, that the splitting of the atom had for the physics community in the late 30s.

Well, science we are told, is this absolutely impartial godlike "body of knowledge", prosecuted by great men, and it will fearlessly send its questing mind into any situation or environment. This is a mental discipline so dispassionate, that it sees nothing at all wrong with strapping monkeys into apparatus and hurling them into walls with 70 miles an hour to study dramatic injuries.
This is a discipline so unflinching in its pursue of truth that it will design tiny television cameras to be implanted in plastic penises, so that we can see the changes in the colour of the vaginal wall as it approaches orgasm. These guys are unstinting in their devotion to truth in any form. And yet … and yet …
For 30 years, science has accepted government's refusal to allow science to look at the potential impact of psychedelic plants and compounds on human consciousness, on chronic alcoholism, on schizophrenia, on depression, on autism, on learning disorders, on dyslexias, on memory enhancements so forth and so on.
This to me is obscene!

The future is mental! Figure it out! If the mind does not loom large in the future history of this species then what the hell future is it going to be?! I mean this is our crowning glory!

Die wundervolle Formulierung, die Timothy Leary vor vielen Jahren verwendete: LSD ist ein Rauschmittel, das bisweilen irre Verhaltensweisen bei Leuten hervorruft, die es nicht genommen haben. Versteht ihr?! Und ich konnte das beobachten. Ich meine, ich sah meine Eltern heftig ausflippen vom Nicht-zu-sich-nehmen von LSD.

Wie viele von euch wissen, bin ich ein großer Fan und Fürsprecher von Psilocybin, von Pilzen. Die Pilze, für die ich mich so einsetze, wurden 1953 von Gordon und Valentina Wasson entdeckt. Entdeckt 1953, für absolut illegal erklärt 1966.

Eine Dosis reichte – mit einer Heilungsrate von 50% für chronischen Alkoholismus ohne Rückfälligkeit. Von spektakulären Ergebnissen war da die Rede!
Als LSD durch die wissenschaftliche Gemeinde fegte, löste es bei Pharmakologen, Psychotherapeuten, Psychiatern dieselbe Art von Aufgeregtheit und das Gefühl eines großen Durchbruchs aus wie damals in den 30er Jahren die Atomspaltung in den Physik-Fachbereichen.

Schön, Wissenschaft, wie uns erzählt wird, ist dieser absolut unerschrockene, gottähnliche, von großen Männern vorangetriebene "Leib an Wissen". Und dass sein fragender Geist furchtlos in jede Situation und jede Umgebung hineingeschickt wird. Dies ist eine geistige Disziplin so leidenschaftslos, dass sie überhaupt nichts falsches darin sieht, Affen in Apparate festzuschnallen und sie mit 70 Meilen pro Stunde gegen Wände zu schleudern, um dramatische Verletzungen zu studieren.
Das ist eine Disziplin, so entschlossen in ihrem Streben nach Wahrheit, dass sie winzige Fernsehkameras konstruiert und in Plastikpenisse einbaut, damit wir sehen können, wie sich die Farbe der Vaginalwand verändert, wenn der Orgasmus erreicht wird. Diese Jungs sind vorbehaltlos in ihrer Hingabe an die Wahrheit in jeglicher Form. Und doch ... und doch ...
Seit 30 Jahren hat die Wissenschaft die Zurückweisung seitens der Regierung akzeptiert, die potentielle Bedeutung psychedelischer Pflanzen und Präparate auf ihre Auswirkungen bezüglich chronischem Alkoholismus, Schizophrenie, Depression, Autismus, Lernstörungen, Rechtschreibschwächen, Verbesserungen der Gedächtnisleistung usw. usf. wissenschaftlich zu untersuchen.
Für mich ist das obszön!

America doesn't have a president

"It has been reported that trillions of collective dollars not shown in government budget reports are shown through government CAFR reports and they are virtually never openly discussed by the syndicated news media, both the Democratic and Republican Party members, the House, Senate, and organized public education, and as in such over the last 50 years the domestic and international investment assets of US Federal and Local Governments as a whole have taken over the Stock, Derivative, Insurance, and Debt Markets. The collective private sector's assets and investments as of 2000 are now insignificant in comparison with what US Government now owns by and through investment.. [...]
Ask the school district for a letter as to who funded the School District's last several bond issues (get the investor information). Then get a letter from the treasurer that the school district does not use their own investments funds to fund their own debt. Local governments through shell investment firms that they may start themselves or contract out with will use their own investment funds to fund their own debt and thus move money out of sight of the public to lock in a long-term investments for themselves and a debt under their 'Budgetary' expenses for the public to repay. No reply, or an illusive reply not answering that specific question is in any light an admission of their participation.
Put that can of worms out for the public to digest of their local governments over the last 20 to 30 years have transitioned into funding their own debt (bond issues) and see what happens. (The best result would be for much of the standing debt held is vacated against the standing investments held by the same local government entity.) The only justification I got from the local government financial managers was that 'look at what a good job we are doing investing the public's funds, we got them a .25% (quarter percent) lower then they could have got from the private sector.'
This practice of self-debt funding by local governments now exceeds several trillion dollars in composite totals. The cost of interest for that debt is shown on the 'Budget' report and the returns from the investment that funds the debt is shown in the note sections of the local government's corresponding CAFR 'Comprehensive Annual Financial Report'.
Note: It is some times better to go to the State run Enterprise Authority handling the financial investment and do a reverse look at what local governments are participating and for how much."

"The public maintained the illusion that government 'survived' off of tax income (with the help of the bought and paid for Media and Political talking heads monopoly), and as of 2000 only 1/3rd of the gross income when looking at the big picture was tax income.
Now, here is the key for comprehension: government's attitude was: anything we collect in tax income we are responsible to the public for oversight and disclosure given to the public. I was a CTA for 14 years and traded the derivatives market for 31 years. Being that 'Government has already taken it all over by investment' the TRF comes in and reverts ownership back to direct benefit to the people through phasing out 'all taxation', the biggest organized crime inflicted on the population of this earth, and makes visible the hidden influence peddling for profit accomplished to start war, genocide, or stripping of taxpayer revenue into shill investments held to guarantee a massive profit for the inside players at taxpayer expense and loss, with this being the second biggest crime on earth.
They are using taxpayer funds to shore-up their own investments of which out of their own greed for profits through the use of expanded derivative vehicles, those arenas were destabilized in the first place. Now that's the definition or arrogance and blatantly a lack of open non-disclosure to the public. The new Amerika with a fascist twist, and the bought and paid for political and news media talking heads keep the masterfully orchestrated misdirection rolling along for business as usual to continue, due to the money, profit, and control involved. Now, the main thing that I wanted to talk about today [...] I want you to understand something very clearly. When anyone asks you in this country: Are you a citizen of the United States? The country is called America. America is the name of the country.
But in the late 1860s, a group of men got together and incorporated a privately owned company. Anyone can incorporate a privately owned company, and a group of men did. They incorporated a company privately owned, and they called the company 'The United States Company Corporation'. And according to corporate law – and anyone who has a corporation in business knows according to the corporate law – all corporations must have a president. That's the law. And it must have a vice president. And it must have a secretary of treasury. That's corporate law. So the corporation had to have a president and a vice president.
Today when you see, once a year, at the State of the Union, when you see the president comes out and the Speaker of the House says: 'Ladies and Gentlemen, the President of the United States', everybody in this country thinks this is the President of America. America doesn't have a president. This is a corporate term used in business. The United States Corporation is a privately owned company. It's privately owned!
And it's a ten miles square that it operates in called 'The District of Columbia'. 'Columbia' simply means universal. This is what 'Catholic' means: universal. When you start tracing back the ownership of the corporation called 'United States' privately owned company, then you began to see that, if you say that you are a citizen of the U.S., what you're saying lawfully is that you are an employee of a foreign corporation on the International Maritime Admiralty Law.
You are an employee of a privately owned company.

Therefore, if you are living in any state such as California and you're making money here, then what you are doing quite literally is moonlighting, because you are already working for an employee of a privately owned company called United States Corporation. But you're earning money in California. Therefore you are a franchisee of a foreign corporation under maritime law. You're a franchisee! It's like opening up a McDonalds here.
You can open up a McDonalds but you're not the boss of McDonalds. The McDonalds Corporation is the boss. They tell you what you can sell and what you can't sell, and how much it is gonna be, and they call the shots. You can really be a franchisee operating under their jurisdiction. So consequently each one of us who call ourselves a citizen of the U.S. is in point of fact a franchisee of a foreign corporation. And once a year you have to pay what is referred to as California Franchise Tax Board because you're a franchisee of a foreign corporation on the international law.

Let me explain something to you.
There are two kinds of law on the earth, basically two kinds of law: Roman Civil Law and Maritime Admiralty. Roman Civil Law comes from the word civil or civili, in Latin meaning [...] Civil Law is referred to as the law of the land. But there is a higher law that governs the whole earth. (That's the one where I think the reptilians are into.) There is a higher law that operates on the earth, and it has nothing to do with the civil law of any country. Because civil law is different in any country. You can do things in Africa, you can't do in Spain. Or you can do things here in America, you can't do in France. Because the people's law, the law of the land, is different according to the culture. But when you talk about the Maritime Admiralty Law ... what we're talking about is the law of water, the law of banks. Banking law is called Maritime Admiralty.
And consequently ... This is why incidently the Statue of Liberty could not be put on land in this country. It had to be put in a port. It had to be put in water. Why?
Because it's not the Statue of Freedom, – It's a statue of liberty! Liberty is what a sailor gets when you pour in the port, because the admiral gives the captain on those boats, those ships ownership of your body. You ask permission to leave. And if he lets you what he is most slightly not going to, but if he allows you to leave, you have liberty. You don't have freedom! And as long as you call yourself a U.S. citizen, you are an employee of a foreign corporation incorporated under international maritime law, and consequently you're a franchisee of a foreign corporation. They. Own. You.

Now, let me show you how they own you. When a ship pours into port say from Japan and brings an estate 800 million dollars worth of Toyotas and televisions, the first thing the captain has to do is, fill out and give to the port authorities something called a certificate of manifest. He has to give them a certificate showing how much each car causes whether has four doors or two, if it got air conditioning, if not. Every car has to have a certificate of manifest showing exactly what you're bringing into this country, how much it is gonna cost our banks, how much we're gonna have to pay for this, and so is business – It comes in on water. It's Maritime Admiralty Banking Law. So therefore, each item has to have a certificate of manifest. And the ship when it pours into, it parks at the dock, and where it parks is called 'the ship sits in its birth.' Now, when you were born, your mother ... her water broke, and when your mother's water broke, you came out, and therefore you're a maritime admiralty product on the international maritime banking law. You are a product! Because you came out of your mothers water, and therefore you have to have a birth certificate. And the birth certificate has to be signed by the doc. Okay? And consequently, if you go to Sears and you buy something that's to large to take home, they'll bring it to you. And so they will tell you what time they're going to deliver the product. That's why your mother was in a delivery room. She was delivering a product on the international law.

Now, when you get the birth certificate, that is a Maritime Admiralty certificate that shows you are a 'human re-source'. And the corporation called United States went to your mother and asked her: Would you donate this body to us as a colateral for a loan?
Because each birth certificate is worth when it first started in 1933 ... I am told it was like $ 630,000 per birth certificate on the international exchange.
And your birth certificate today is on the stock market.
Look on the back of your social security card, and you will see numbers in RED. Any time you see red numbers, they represent your blood. You turn it on the other side, and you'll see it in BLUE. Blue is Maritime Admiralty, the Navy Blue.
So consequently you are a product that was bought. And on the birth certificate, there on the bottom right where your mother signed, it doesn't say mother or parent, it says 'informant'. [...]
My mother had an uncle when I was growing up. My mother had an uncle who worked in the Vatican's Secretary of States Office. I'm Italian. My mother also had two federal judges as uncles when I was growing up living in my home town. So I know the Catholic church, I know the Jesuits, I understand the Mafia, I understand the Cosa Nostra. I mean, when I saw Godfather that felt at home. This was the way I visioned life. So I know what I'm talking about. I have spent 42 years reading and studying and researching theology – that's my subject. Government is not my subject. [...]

The Pope of Rome made a proclamation in the late Middle Ages. He said that the Pope is the Vicar of Christ. You may have heard that term, 'Vicar of Christ'. The word vicar in Latin simply means 'one who stands in for'. [...] which means, he is standing in for Jesus.
Consequently the idea is that god created the whole heavens and the whole earth and he owns everything on it. And so therefore, he turned it over to his son, Jesus, his son. But since Jesus isn't here, somebody has to run this place. So since Jesus isn't here, the pope said I will be the Vicar of Christ. I'll stand in for him till he gets back. Then when he gets back, I'll turn over the whole world to Christ, but until he gets here, I'm in charge! Okay? As long as you understand that, we're going to do just fine.

Now, the first thing the pope did after declaring himself the Vicar of Christ, made himself the owner of all life on the earth, for Jesus. Jesus owned the whole earth but he ain't here, so I do. Second: He made a contract with the King of England. It was a commercial treaty of sorts with the King of England in which he gave the possessions of Jesus, which he held as the Vicar of Christ, to the King of England, as a corporate holding company. So, the whole world would be under the King of England FOR the Pope. So the Pope owns it, but the President of the Corporation is the King of England, and that whole corporation menagerie is called 'The Crown'. So when you hear about the British Crown, you have to understand that there is a world of difference between being Engl-ish and Brit-ish. British comes from an Hebrew word, berith. A 'berith' is a contract in the old Hebrew language, and 'ish' is a man or men. Therefore berith-ish becomes british – man of the contract. That's why any time you do anything of any importance in this country or in the western world you got to sign a contract. When you get married you get to have a Marriage Licence. The same reason why attorneys have to have a licence."

Cojo) The self-appointed majestic position of being "god's vicar" in person, quasi as the only legal embassador of an allmighty, unknown, fatherly souled creator of landscapes and lifes, entitles or raises in my eyes the claim to absolutistic world dominance quite automatically!
Declaring then himself "infallible" seems merely the next consequent move on the project of entering the throne of a "King of the World" someday, and finally inaugurating the long built-up Catholic "World Pharaoh" of Rome resp. Jerusalem, who represents with one universal religion the "all-seeing" power of a global monarchical constitution under the no longer smoked, implants-based Jesuit Shepherd's Fold.

"Mr. Speaker, in order that the American people may have a clearer understanding of those who over a period of years have been undermining this Republic, in order to return it to the British Empire, I have inserted in the record a number of articles to prove this point. This statement is clear, and the organizations which Mr. Carnegie endowed have spent millions in order to bring this about. [...] organized to bring about a British union, a union in which the United States would again become a part of the British Empire. Darryl) And then just the last couple of years, I all of the sudden decided to discover that there was a real superpower behind the scenes, orchestrating things in the religious world, in the financial world, in the geopolitical world, and of course, that's what I have recently termed the "Vatican-Papacy-Jesuits-Knights of Malta cabal". And I believe they are the real real powers behind most of the powerful governments in the world, clearly with the Roman Catholic religion over a billion adherents and with super financial stockholdings etc. through their fabulously rich Knights of Malta. So by far, they are the biggest people out there. […]
Keith V-Goth) What I find people having a hard time with is the fact that this could be so perversive. And they still have a hard time believing it because of the PR that comes out of the Vatican etc. [...] The government, you know, they are not our friends. At the behest of the listener, I put up on my homepage links to three New York Times stories that tell you, the FBI was involved, you could say, and also pulled off the 1993 World Trade Tower Bombings, okay? There is three stories out there, straight from the New York Times, and they implicate themselves, they convict themselves. […] This is only the beginning of it, it's not all the FBI's fault. But the fact is, we have a problem: Our government is not our advocate, it's our adversary. […]

Darryl) The way to control governments is to bribe people, to give them money, to give them power and sexual favors. And I think, a lot of Congressmen in the past and probably to this very day, the new ones they come in, they get them in compromising position. Basically, secret societies operate through intelligence agencies. I think, we hung up on this idea of 'oh, all the CIA couldn't be bad, or all the FBI couldn't be bad, or all the national security agencies couldn't be bad – no one can pull of a conspiracy without a whole lot of people knowing.' Well, can I give him a little bit of my background? And I'll tell him why they can do that.
Keith) Absolutely.
Darryl) I spent 26 years in the intelligence community. I had a Top Secret Special Intelligence Clearance that entire time. I was at the top of my profession as a technician – eleven and a half of that was in the old U.S. Air Force Security Service. I learned Russian and Arabic languages. I was a linguist, a traffic analyst, and a reporter in the Air Force. And then I spent eight and a half years in what would be the army's equivalent to that: the old army security agency – military intelligence. And then I worked six years for the National Security Agency, after I retired from the military. And the reason that they're able to pull so many things off is, that within those intelligence communities, where you have people with top secret clearances, everything is on a need-to-know basis, and it's very compartmentalized, so that you could be in one room and the room down the hall you can't get in despite all your Top Secret Special Intelligence Clearances, because it's on a strict need-to-know basis. But the key thing is that most of the people in the CIA, the FBI, the NSA are good, red-blooded, patriotic Americans who are working hard to do their job, especially during the Cold War that they were fighting against Communism and America's enemies. And they are at the bottom, they have no idea – just like a secret society: they are at the bottom, they are popping information up, and the people at the top feed off that information, correlate it, provide it to whom they will, keep what information from whom they don't want it to get to, and that's the way they are able to control things. The Kennedy Assassination is a beautiful picture of that because you have Knights of Malta all over the intelligence community.
The FBI Assistant Director Cartha DeLoach for the FBI was the liaison to the Warren Commission. Then the CIA liaison to the Warren Commission was another Roman Catholic military order Knight of Malta James Jesus Angleton. So any information going back and forth between the Warren Commission, which is an interesting commission, had some of Kennedy's enemies on it like Allen Dulles () also a lot of top-level Freemasons were at the heads of these organizations. So again, you don't have to have all of your people in these organizations, all you have to do is have them at key choke points, key leadership positions, like Angleton was the head of the CIA's counter-intelligence – probably just as powerful as the head of the CIA – for like decades. He also set the Vatican desk, he set the Israel desk, but the key thing was: he was the liaison to the Warren Commission. So that any information going back and forth between them were handled by a couple of Roman Catholic military order Knights of Malta and, of course, you had Roman Catholic Knights of Malta involved in other areas [...] they're all over the map in the intelligence community.

Keith) Would it be fair to say that, when you do have sort of black bag operatives in the intelligence communities, that they are necessarily there because of their membership in a secret society?
Darryl) I think, if they get into any of a top position, they are either in the secret society or they're being controlled by the secret societies, whether it's through, like I said, sexual gifts, whether they give them monetary gifts ... If somebody that's either in, with them, or totally controlled by them, you're not going to be in a powerful position – I don't think – and last very long. John Kennedy is the perfect example. If you start to bug the system, they're going to either try to buy you off, give you something special, or bribe you if they know of sexual indiscretions etc., and if none of that works very quickly ... if you very powerful, very high up, that you might reveal secrets or break up like Kennedy was going to do break up the CIA into a thousand pieces, especially take the black ops from them and transfer it over to the Pentagon, then they're going to kill you. And most likely they will kill you. [...] I think, John Kennedy, and Bobby, and a few others were really trying to run stuff out of the White House, and when they started to go against some of their advisers, when he started to print money outside of the Federal Reserve, when he decided to shut down he war in Vietnam, there were just to many powerful interests in the background that decided, 'hey, he is double-crossed, thus he has got to go.'
Keith) Do you wonder if the old man hadn't taken a very debilitating stroke at the end of '61, if he would allowed those to – perhaps what I would say – 'go rogue'?
Darryl) That who had that debilitating stroke?
Keith) Joseph Kennedy
Darryl) Oh! I heard from some folks that when they said, 'your boy's got to go,' that he just nodded his head. There has been several books written about his ties with Sam Giancana and others. Joseph Kennedy – he was the mob.
Keith) Of course the fiction work which I don't think it's fiction, obviously, and the name excapes me – I think it's also the individual who wrote The Manchurian Candidate () which heavily, heavily innervates that the father knew, it was the price of doing business.
Darryl) Exactly.

Another example of good patriotic Americans, you have like Navy Seals or Special Forces that are sometimes ... especially Special Forces – I don't know if you ever had Lt. Colonel Daniel Marvin on?
Keith) No.
Darryl) He was asked to kill Lt. Commander William Bruce Pitzer [...] and he was trying to get that information out to the public, thus he had a Top Secret Clearance as Navy Lieutenant Commander, and so Marvin, Colonel ... he was then a Captain of Special Forces was asked to take him out at the Bethesda Naval Hospital. He refused because he said, you know, 'Special Forces are only used to assassinate people overseas, and you guys use the CIA here, in the U.S. I'm not gonna do it.' Well, they asked another captain and I think, he might have been the one Special Forces' Captain that killed him. But the point I'm trying to get here is that they were saying that Pitzer, Lieutenant Commander William Bruce Pitzer at the Bethesda Naval Hospital, was gonna tell secrets to the Soviets, so, you know, 'you need to kill this guy!' And that's how they get good patriotic people like Special Forces () to assassinate one who's actually a guy trying to bring important information to the American people or to reveal evil that's going on within government. And they ask a guy that's been highly-trained in assassination technics () sniper etc., 'hey, you need to kill this guy because he's selling secrets.' So, you can see, how it works. They can get a good patriotic American to kill another good patriotic American by lying to him. And that's very sad, but that's going on.

Keith) Whenever people talk about ... You know, I'm not saying people. I mean, when Wilcox, yourself, Phelps, Tom Richards, when we have discussed, or/and they had written about the Vatican and the Jesuits, everybody says, 'oh wow, they can't be into everything.' But they certainly are, I mean, their diguise is a one that nobody thinks they are capable of it, because there are supposedly ecclesiastically into, that they could have such an expansive and efficient organization. But I also want to mention one other thing: (And we had a gentleman on here () by name of Greg, who has a website that kind is devoted to occult history: http://rochester92.vox.com, and Greg if you're listening, you can be insulted by this as well.) I'm gonna to have another guest on, who are really starting to bother me with his tone. And if he's listening today, he probably won't come on, because I'm directing it to him. And that is, he writes me an email saying he will come on the show – he said, 'but my own views are very different from those who focus on the Illuminati, Freemasons and such distractions and trivia.' Well, I would love to send him back a very measured email. Because this is the kind of "locked head" that is out there, that makes so many of these things happen. This also includes people not believing that the Vatican, the Jesuits, and – as you said before – the Knights of Malta can be involved in this stuff. But now, having set that all up, there is a hierarchy! And when you mention this along with the temporal coadjutors, you're looking at a framework, so that when you mention this, it involves all this but it makes others think perhaps that we've gone loony. Your take.

Darryl) Yeah, the reason for that is, and it's very sad, and to some American I can say this: We Americans, for the most part, are extremely "history-challenged". Not only do we know very little about real church history, not only do we know very little about european history, world history, but we know very little about true American history. I ran into Europeans, Keith, when I was over in Germany and other places, that knew far more about American history than a lot of Americans do. And I talked to you earlier about this: we need to be doing more reading. You mentioned about the Jesuits – most people they can't just believe that the Jesuits are that powerful. Let me just give you a couple of quotes here. You know, a lot of people try to blame it on the Jews, to blame it on Freemasons, and it's just like I said, the last couple of years, every stone I started turning over, I started finding Jesuits, Knights of Malta, which is controlled and co-located with the Jesuit Order, involved in almost any key assassination of heads of state, important ones and throughout history, involved in fomenting wars like WW I and WW II. So here is that great quote. It's by a Canadian historian, J.E.C. Shepherd, and if the Jesuits aren't so powerful and so bad, then why would a quote like this be made.

Between 1555 and 1931, the Society of Jesus was expelled from at least 83 countries, city states and cities, for engaging in political intrigue and subversive plots against the welfare of the State, according to the records of a Jesuit priest of repute [i.e., Thomas J. Campbell]. [...] Practically every instance of expulsion was for political intrigue, political infiltration, political subversion, and inciting to political insurrection.

So, and most of the people that threw them out, Keith, were Roman Catholic monarches! They were thrown out of places like Spain and Portugal, like two and three times each, France, they were thrown out most of the Central American countries, they were thrown out of Russia several times. Of course, almost any time that that occurred, they came back with a vengeance. They were responsible for assassinating not only President Abraham Lincoln, which is something that's totally disappeared from American history text books and from encyclopedias, but they killed Czar Alexander I and Czar Alexander II of Russia, they killed King Henry III and King Henry IV of France – one of them tried to give religious liberty to all of the French people. They've got such a track record of murder, not to mention religious genocide like happened in Croatia in the 1940s.

There is another great quote – () some people, you know, try to say, the Masons are running everything – this is by another historian, it's an American historian named James Parton. Very short quote, he says:

If you trace up Masonry, through all its Orders, till you come to the grand tip-top head Mason of the World, you will discover that the dread individual and the Chief of the Society of Jesus [i.e., the Superior General of the Jesuit Order] are one and the same person.

So clearly, these guys are big power players. If we go back and study european history, we'll find out for centuries ... and of course the Jesuits are kind of – as far as the Roman Catholic Church goes – a relatively new order: they have only been around 400 and plus years. But for those 400 years, almost every single King, Queen, the mistresses of the King, the top generals in those countries – all had Jesuits for their father confessors. Their children ... of any royalty, or anybody that was important went to Jesuit colleges. In universities they were at the forefront of setting all those up. So, when you become the father confessor to the King, or the Queen, or to his mistresses, and all of the sudden you want the King to launch – let's say – a religious genocide against the Waldenses or somebody, you just go in and say, 'hey King, we want you to kill all these people, even in your own country,' and if he starts to hesitate, 'well, how about we tell the Queen about your ten mistresses?' That's why I wrote an article about the confessional. It's the greatest intelligence gathering system that the world has ever seen.

Octopi

Nevertheless, our cultural crisis is deepening. Deepening mainly because we have very poor connections between our fragmented and autonomous psychic structures - within ourselves as individuals and within ourselves as a society. Our whole problem is that we can't communicate with each other, we can't express intention. And the psychedelics are sitting there waiting to unify us, to introduce us to the trans-linguistic intention. To carry us forward into a realm of appropriate cultural activity, which is to my mind the realm beyond history. Beyond history lies effortless and appropriate cultural activity. And nature has proceeded us, as it always does, by laying out models that can be followed to realize this.
As an example and by request, I'll point out that the 19th century had a titular animal. Its titular animal was the horse, idealized as the steam engine, the Iron Horse. Marx talked about the locomotive of history, and there was this whole focusing on the horse archetype, which in the 20th century gave way to the titulary animal, the raptor, the bird of prey, as exemplified by high-performance fighter aircraft, as the kind of ultimate union of man and machine in some kind of glorification of the completion of a certain set of cultural ideals. You see?
Well, in thinking about this and in thinking about how language is the cultural frontier of our species, I went to nature looking for models of how we might move beyond the bird of prey, which when you think about it, it is the American symbol. It was also the symbol of the Third Reich. A lot of creepy scenes have actually been into birds of prey ... when Alaric the Visigoth burned Eleusis, it was the crow that fluttered on his battle standard as the greasy smoke swept by. So these dark birds have been with us.
Anyway, in looking for a new titulary animal and drawing the conclusion of what it would mean, I was drawn to look – strangely enough – at cephalopods, octopi. Because I felt, first of all, they are extremely alien. The break between our line of development in the phylogenetic tree and the mollusca, which is what a cephalopod is, is about 700 million years ago. Nevertheless, and many of you who are students of evolution know, that when evolutionists talk about parallel evolution, they always drag out the example of the optical system of the octopi. Because: Isn't this astonishing? It's very much like the human eye, and yet it developed entirely independently, and this shows how the same set of external factors impinging on a raw gene pool will inevitably sculpt the same organs or attain the same end, and so forth and so on.

Well, the optical capacity of octopi is one thing, what interested me was their linguistic organization. They are virtually entirely nervous system. First of all, they have eight arms in the case of the octopods, and ten arms in the case of the squid, the decapods. So coordinating all these organs of manipulation has given them a very evolved, capable nervous system as well as a highly evolved ocular system. But what is really interesting about them is that they communicate with each other by changing the color and texture of their skin and their physical shape. You may have known that octopi could change colors, but you may have thought it was camouflage or something very passive like that. It isn't that at all. They have a vast repertoire of traveling bars, dots, blushes, merging pastels, herringbone patterns, tweeds, mottled this-and-thats, can blush from apricot through teal into dove gray and on to olive ... do all of these things communicating to each other. That is what their large optical system is for. It is to be able to see each other. The other thing which octopi can do – besides having these chromatophores on the surface of their skin – they can change the texture of the skin surface: can make it rugose, papillaed, smooth, lobed, rubbery, runneled, so forth and so on. And then, of course, being shell-less molluscs, they can hide arms and display certain parts of themselves and carry on a dance.
When you analyze what is going on here, what at first seems like merely fascinating facts from natural history, begins to take on a more profound aspect. Because it is an ontological transformation of language that is going on in front of you. Note that by being able to communicate visually, they have no need of a conventionalized culturally reinforced dictionary. Rather, they experience pure intent of each other without ambiguity because each octopus can see what is meant – this is very important – can see what is meant.
And I think that this heralds, or could be made to herald, a transformation in our own definitions of language and communication: what we need is to see what we mean. It's not without consequence or implication, that when we try to communicate the notion of clarity of speech, we always shift into visual metaphors: I see what you mean, he painted a picture, his description was very colorful. It means that when we intend to indicate a lack of ambiguity and communication, we shift to visual analogies. This can in fact be actualized. And in fact, this is what is happening in the psychedelic experience. There we discover, just under the surface of human biological organization, the next level in the organization of language: It's the ability to generate some kind of acoustical hologram that is manipulated by linguistic intent.

Now don't ask me how this happens, because nobody knows how it happens. At this point it's magic. Nevertheless, the fact is it does happen - you can have this experience. It represents a synesthesia in the presence of ongoing communication. It is, in fact, telepathy. It is not what we thought telepathy would be, which I suppose if you're like me, you imagine telepathy would be hearing what other people think. It isn't that. It's seeing what other people mean. And them also seeing what they mean. So that once something has been communicated, both parties can walk around it and look at it the way you study a Brancusi or a Giacometti in an art gallery.
By eliminating the ambiguity of the audio signal and substituting the concreteness of the visual image, the membrane of separation, that allows the fiction of our individuality, can be temporarily overcome. You see? And the temporary overcoming of the illusion of individuality is a much richer notion of ego-death than the kind of white-light, null-states that it has imagined to be. Because the overcoming of the illusion of individuality has political consequences. The political consequences are that one can love one's neighbor, you see, because the commonalty of being is felt. Not reasoned toward, or propagandized into, or behaviorally reinforced, but felt.
This is why there is this persistent notion, which accompanies these psychedelic compounds, of a new political order based on love. This was a hard thing to say in the panhandle in 1965, it's not easy to say in heavy-metal L.A. in 1987. But it seems to be the fact of the matter that love, which poets have celebrated for eons as inaffable, may in fact have certain inaffable dimensions attached to it, but it may in fact be more affable than we had previously cared to imagine. And it's the invoking of the affability of love that has to do with discovering the shared birthright, the atemporal dimension that is co-present with this reality, a dimension that is a vast reservoir of anchoring – existential anchoring – for each and all of us in our lives.
So my response to feeling the political pull of this, feeling the power to transform language, that resided in these things, was to go to the people who I thought would know most about it: the shamans for whom hallucinogenic shamanism has never been an issue, for whom the notion that you're supposed to do it on the natch is a patent absurdity. I mean, if you're serious about doing it on the natch I suggest you eliminate all food. Because this notion of the pristine self somehow riding above the muck of the world, carrying on a spiritual evolution is absolute foolishness. We are made of the stuff of the world.
People, who do not confront the presence of the hallucinogenic possibility, are turning their back on their birthright. In the same way that if you do not experience sex throughout your life you are turning your back on your birthright. After all we could argue that to allow another person to touch you, is to not do it on the natch, right? But, dear friends, we're slicing too close to the bone here to take that approach. It's much better, I think, to open to the world. The world is communication. Nature is the great teacher. All human gurus are simply distillations of the wave of nature that is coming at you. So you can just short-circuit the whole human boil-down, and go straight to the executive suite by putting yourself under a tree in the wilderness. The Great Ones all have said this but they need to be taken more seriously on the subject of their own expendability. Me too.

Going to the Amazon with these kinds of notions and looking at what had been achieved there, I came to have a vision then of the future that could be. That we are sort of hurling ourselves into a new Stone Age where the fruits of the prodigal wandering, that I discussed in such detail last night, can be used to infuse new meaning into that paradise. The imagination of man and woman is so incomparably rich and exerts such an attraction on us as the builder-monkey that we have to honor that. We cannot demonize that and preach a kind of naturalism that if actually put in place would cause the starvation of tens of millions of people. We have passed the point where some kind of Luddite reform can save us. It's only, I think, very self-indulgent elites that can preach voluntary simplicity, because a lot of people are experiencing involuntary simplicity. And, unless you're one of them it rings rather hollow to be told that Zen values are best.
Re-inserting ourselves into nature is inspiration for cultural design – that's what it is, it's not flight from the design process but a re-invigoration of it. Some of you may be aware of the concept of nanotechnology in which everything is built at the molecular level. By studying the mechanisms of the cell and the immune system and DNA, we begin to have a picture of how molecules and atoms are the machine parts of a microcosmic world, that if we were elf chemists, we could make our way into and create anything that we could imagine. I mean, I can foresee a world where all machines will be made by DNA-like polymers that will code base materials into larger and larger aggregates.

The minaturization of our world is a great frontier. As culture becomes more enveloping, its physical manifestation should become less material. You see? So the ultimate notion is of the world turned back to the form it held – let's say – 35,000 years ago, in which people lived in an environment of entirely climaxed natural perfection. However, behind their eyelids lies a culturally and consensually validated data phase space that is culture, civilization. Turn each of us into a telepathic aquarium that has a direct pipeline to the general ocean of mind and being. This is possible. In fact, its not only possible, it may be the only decent solution: to download ourselves into another dimension. (And I want to note in passing the collapse of Max Headroom. What a tragedy I think that is that his last show was tonight. This was a weird force for cultural transformation, but to be applauded. If anybody here tonight has anything to do with it, I wish them luck.) But this sort of notion ... the Max Headroom people and the William Gibson people have a very high-tech take on this, because they are interested in accentuating this tight blue-jean, cyber-punk kind of notion. But in fact the worlds that they describe will have many many different social sub-groups and social eco-systems forming in them. What the future really means is choice to become who we are, to flower out, to find our own way.
McLuhan saw all this 20 years ago: He said that the rise of global electronic feudalism would create an atomistic fragmentation of culture. It may well be that within 50 years the largest organizational entity on the planet will be corporations with a few million loyal employees, and all larger social institutions will have disappeared because they were unable to command loyalty in a social environment where direct experience has become empowered. And this empowering of direct experience, this return to the feminine, this legitimizing of the presence of the vaster regions of the unconscious – these are all aspects of this emerging paradigm of the spirit. "Understanding and Imagination in the Light of Nature", which is what this two-night party has been called, is a definition of the spirit. Understanding and imagination in the light of nature – in other words, true understanding, poetic imagination, standing as a mirror before nature as object, will cause the hologrammatic presence of the spirit to magically appear. It will be then seen to be a kind of emergent quality of the situation that was previously masked, simply because the elements had not fallen into the correct arrangement. And as we move forward through time over the next 25 years there will be many prophets of the transcendental object at the end of time, many takes.
The important thing is to recall Godel's Incompleteness Theorem and to always recognize the provisional nature of the metaphysical goods that you're going to be sold. Nobody has the faintest notion of what's going on. It's important to keep that in mind. If you have that in mind, then the game proceeds much more cleanly. What is ahead of us is true high adventure.

Elizabeth Gilbert: Being a genius or having one

I am a writer. Writing books is my profession but it's more than that, of course. It is also my great lifelong love and fascination. And I don't expect that that's ever going to change. But, that said, something kind of peculiar has happened recently in my life and in my career, which has caused me to have to sort of recalibrate my whole relationship with this work. And the peculiar thing is that I recently wrote this book, this memoir called "Eat, Pray, Love" which, decidedly unlike any of my previous books, went out in the world for some reason, and became this big, mega-sensation, international bestseller thing. The result of which is that everywhere I go now, people treat me like I'm doomed. Seriously. Doomed, doomed! Like, they come up to me now, all worried, and they say: "Aren't you afraid ... aren't you afraid you're never going to be able to top that? Aren't you afraid you're going to keep writing for your whole life and you're never again going to create a book that anybody in the world cares about at all, ever again?"
So that's reassuring, you know. But it would be worse, except for that I happen to remember that over 20 years ago, when I first started telling people, when I was a teenager, that I wanted to be a writer, I was met with this same kind of, sort of fear-based reaction. And people would say: "Aren't you afraid you're never going to have any success? Aren't you afraid the humiliation of rejection will kill you? Aren't you afraid that you're going to work your whole life at this craft and nothing's ever going to come of it and you're going to die on a scrap heap of broken dreams with your mouth filled with bitter ash of failure?" (Laughter) Like that, you know.
The answer ... the short answer to all those questions is yes. Yes, I'm afraid of all those things. And I always have been. And I'm afraid of many many more things besides that people can't even guess at. Like seaweed, and other things that are scary. But, when it comes to writing the thing that I've been sort of thinking about lately, and wondering about lately, is why? You know, is it rational? Is it logical that anybody should be expected to be afraid of the work that they feel they were put on this Earth to do. You know, and what is it specifically about creative ventures that seems to make us really nervous about each other's mental health in a way that other careers kind of don't do, you know? Like my dad, for example, was a chemical engineer and I don't recall once in his 40 years of chemical engineering, anybody asking him if he was afraid to be a chemical engineer, you know? It didn't ... that chemical engineering block John, how's it going? It just didn't come up like that, you know? But to be fair, chemical engineers as a group haven't really earned a reputation over the centuries for being alcoholic manic-depressives. (Laughter)
We writers, we kind of do have that reputation, and not just writers, but creative people across all genres, it seems, have this reputation for being enormously mentally unstable. And, you know, all what you have to do is look at the very grim death count in the 20th century alone, of really magnificent creative minds who died young and often at their own hands, you know? And even the ones who didn't literally commit suicide seem to be really undone by their gifts, you know. Norman Mailer, just before he died, last interview, he said: "Every one of my books has killed me a little more." An extraordinary statement to make about your life's work, you know. But we don't even blink when we hear somebody say this because we've heard that kind of stuff for so long and somehow we've completely internalized and accepted collectively this notion that creativity and suffering are somehow inherently linked and that artistry, in the end, will always ultimately lead to anguish.
And the question that I want to ask everybody here today is are you guys all cool with that idea? Are you comfortable with that? bbecause you look at it even from an inch away and, you know, I'm not at all comfortable with that assumption. I think it's odious. And I also think it's dangerous, and I don't want to see it perpetuated into the next century. I think it's better if we encourage our great creative minds to live.

And I definitely know that, in my case, in my situation, it would be very dangerous for me to start sort of leaking down that dark path of assumption, particularly given the circumstance that I'm in right now in my career. Which is, you know, like check it out: I'm pretty young, I'm only about 40 years old. I still have maybe another four decades of work left in me. And it's exceedingly likely that anything I write from this point forward is going to be judged by the world as the work that came after the freakish success of my last book, right? I should just put it bluntly, because we're all sort of friends here now: it's exceedingly likely that my greatest success is behind me. Oh, so Jesus, what a thought! You know that's the kind of thought that could lead a person to start drinking gin at nine o'clock in the morning, and I don't want to go there. (Laughter) I would prefer to keep doing this work that I love.
And so, the question becomes, how? And so, it seems to me, upon a lot of reflection, that the way that I have to work now, in order to continue writing, is that I have to create some sort of protective psychological construct, right? I have to, sort of find some way to have a safe distance between me, as I am writing, and my very natural anxiety about what the reaction to that writing is going to be, from now on. And, as I've been looking over the last year for models for how to do that I've been sort of looking across time, and I've been trying to find other societies to see if they might have had better and saner ideas than we have about how to help creative people, sort of manage the inherent emotional risks of creativity.
And that search has led me to ancient Greece and ancient Rome. So stay with me, because it does circle around back. But, ancient Greece and ancient Rome ... people did not happen to believe that creativity came from human beings back then, okay? People believed that creativity was this divine attendant spirit that came to human beings from some distant and unknowable source, for distant and unknowable reasons. The Greeks famously called these divine attendant spirits of creativity "daemons". Socrates, famously, believed that he had a daemon who spoke wisdom to him from afar. The Romans had the same idea, but they called that sort of disembodied creative spirit "a genius". Which is great, because the Romans did not actually think that a genius was a particularly clever individual. They believed that a genius was this sort of magical divine entity, who was believed to literally live in the walls of an artist's studio, kind of like Dobby the house elf, and who would come out and sort of invisibly assist the artist with their work and would shape the outcome of that work.
So brilliant! There it is, right there: that distance that I'm talking about. That psychological construct to protect you from the results of your work. And everyone knew that this is how it functioned, right? So the ancient artist was protected from certain things, like, for example, too much narcissism, right? If your work was brilliant, you couldn't take all the credit for it: everybody knew that you had this disembodied genius who had helped you. If your work bombed, not entirely your fault, you know? Everyone knew your genius was kind of lame. And this is how people thought about creativity in the West for a really long time.
And then the Renaissance came and everything changed, and we had this big idea, and the big idea was: Let's put the individual human being at the center of the universe above all gods and mysteries, and there's no more room for mystical creatures who take dictation from the divine. And it's the beginning of rational humanism, and people started to believe that creativity came completely from the self of the individual. And for the first time in history, you start to hear people referring to this or that artist as being a genius rather than having a genius.

And I got to tell you, I think that was a huge error. You know, I think that allowing somebody, like one mere person to believe that he or she is like, the vessel you know, like the font and the essence and the source of all divine, creative, unknowable, eternal mystery is just a smidge too much responsibility to put on one fragile, human psyche. It's like asking somebody to swallow the sun, you know. It just completely warps and distorts egos, and it creates all these unmanageable expectations about performance. And I think the pressure of that has been killing off our artists for the last 500 years.
And, if this is true, and I think it is true, the question becomes, what now? Can we do this differently? Maybe go back to some more ancient understanding about the relationship between humans and the creative mystery. Maybe not. Maybe we can't just erase 500 years of rational humanistic thought in one 18 minute speech. And there's probably people in this audience who would raise really legitimate scientific suspicions about the notion of, basically fairies who follow people around like rubbing fairy juice on their projects and stuff. I'm not, probably, going to bring you all along with me on this.
But the question that I kind of want to pose is, you know, why not? Why not think about it this way? Because it makes as much sense as anything else I have ever heard in terms of explaining the utter maddening capriciousness of the creative process. A process which, as anybody who has ever tried to make something, which is to say as, basically, everyone here knows, does not always behave rationally and, in fact, can sometimes feel downright paranormal.
I had this encounter recently where I met the extraordinary American poet Ruth Stone, who's now in her 90s, but she's been a poet her entire life. And she told me that when she was growing up in rural Virginia, she would be out working in the fields, and she said she would like feel and hear a poem coming at her from over the landscape. And she said it was like a thunderous train of air. And it would come barreling down at her over the landscape. And when she felt it coming, because it would shake the earth under her feet, she knew that she had only one thing to do at that point, and that was to – in her words – "run like hell". And she would run like hell to the house and she would be getting chased by this poem, and the whole deal was that she had to get to a piece of paper and a pencil fast enough so that when it thundered through her, she could collect it and grab it on the page. And other times she wouldn't be fast enough, so she'd be running and running and running, and she wouldn't get to the house and the poem would barrel through her and she would miss it and she said it would continue on across the landscape, looking – as she put it – "for another poet". And then there were these times – this is the piece I never forgot – she said that there were moments where she would almost miss it, right? So, she's running to the house and she's looking for the paper and the poem passes through her, and she grabs a pencil just as it's going through her, and then she said, it was like she would reach out with her other hand and she would catch it. She would catch the poem by its tail, and she would pull it backwards into her body as she was transcribing on the page. And in these instances, the poem would come up on the page perfect and intact but backwards, from the last word to the first. (Laughter)
So when I heard that I was like ... that's uncanny. That's exactly what my creative process is like. (Laughter)

That's not all what my creative process is ... I'm not the pipeline, you know! I'm a mule, and the way that I have to work is that I have to get up at the same time every day, and like sweat and labor and barrel through it really awkwardly. But even I, in my mulishness, even I have brushed up against that thing, at times. And I would imagine that a lot of you have too. You know, even I have had work or ideas come through me from a source that I honestly cannot identify. And what is that thing? And how are we to relate to it in a way that will not make us lose our minds, but, in fact, might actually keep us sane?
And for me, the best contemporary example, that I have of how to do that, is the musician Tom Waits, who I got to interview several years ago on a magazine assignment. And we were talking about this, and you know, Tom, for most of his life he was pretty much the embodiment of the tormented contemporary modern artist, trying to control and manage and dominate these sort of uncontrollable creative impulses that were totally internalized.
But then he got older, he got calmer, and one day he was driving down the freeway in Los Angeles he told me, and this is when it all changed for him. And he's speeding along, and all of a sudden he hears this little fragment of melody, that comes into his head as inspiration often comes, elusive and tantalizing, and he wants it, you know, it's gorgeous, and he longs for it, but he has no way to get it. He doesn't have a piece of paper, he doesn't have a pencil, he doesn't have a tape recorder. So he starts to feel all of that old anxiety start to rise in him like: "I'm going to lose this thing, and then I'm going to be haunted by this song forever. I'm not good enough, and I can't do it." And instead of panicking, he just stopped. He just stopped that whole mental process and he did something completely novel. He just looked up at the sky, and he said, "Excuse me, can you not see that I'm driving?" (Laughter) "Do I look like I can write down a song right now? If you really want to exist, come back at a more opportune moment when I can take care of you. Otherwise, go bother somebody else today. Go bother Leonard Cohen."
And his whole work process changed after that. Not the work, the work was still oftentimes as dark as ever. But the process, and the heavy anxiety around it was released when he took the genie, the genius out of him where it was causing nothing but trouble, and released it kind of back where it came from, and realized that this didn't have to be this internalized, tormented thing. It could be this peculiar, wondrous, bizarre collaboration kind of conversation between Tom and the strange, external thing that was not quite Tom.
So when I heard that story it started to shift a little bit the way that I worked too, and it already saved me once. This idea, it saved me when I was in the middle of writing "Eat, Pray, Love," and I fell into one of those, sort of pits of despair that we all fall into when we're working on something and it's not coming and you start to think this is going to be a disaster, this is going to be the worst book ever written. Not just bad, but the worst book ever written. And I started to think I should just dump this project. But then I remembered Tom talking to the open air and I tried it. So I just lifted my face up from the manuscript and I directed my comments to an empty corner of the room. And I said aloud: "Listen you, thing, you and I both know that if this book isn't brilliant that is not entirely my fault, right? Because you can see that I am putting everything I have into this, I don't have anymore than this. So if you want it to be better, then you've got to show up and do your part of the deal, okay? But if you don't do that, you know what, the hell with it. I'm going to keep writing anyway because that's my job. And I would please like the record to reflect today that I showed up for my part of the job." (Laughter)

Because ... (Applause) Thank you.
In the end it's like this, okay? Centuries ago in the deserts of North Africa, people used to gather for these moonlight dances of sacred dance and music that would go on for hours and hours, until dawn. And they were always magnificent, because the dancers were professionals and they were terrific, right? But every once in a while, very rarely, something would happen, and one of these performers would actually become transcendent. And I know you know what I'm talking about, because I know you've all seen, at some point in your life, a performance like this. It was like time would stop, and the dancer would sort of step through some kind of portal and he wasn't doing anything different than he had ever done, 1,000 nights before, but everything would align. And all of a sudden, he would no longer appear to be merely human. He would be lit from within, and lit from below and all lit up on fire with divinity.
And when this happened, back then, people knew it for what it was, you know, they called it by its name. They would put their hands together and they would start to chant: "Allah, Allah, Allah, God, God, God." That's God, you know. Curious historical footnote: when the Moors invaded southern Spain, they took this custom with them and the pronunciation changed over the centuries from "Allah, Allah, Allah" to "Olé, Olé, Olé" which you still hear in bullfights and in flamenco dances. In Spain, when a performer has done something impossible and magic, "Allah, Olé, Olé, Allah, Magnificent, Bravo!" incomprehensible, there it is a glimpse of God. Which is great, because we need that.
But, the tricky bit comes the next morning for the dancer himself, when he wakes up and discovers that it's Tuesday at 11 AM, and he's no longer a glimpse of God. He's just an aging mortal with really bad knees, and maybe he's never going to ascend to that height again. And maybe nobody will ever chant God's name again as he spins, and what is he then to do with the rest of his life? This is hard. This is one of the most painful reconciliations to make in a creative life. But maybe it doesn't have to be quite so full of anguish if you never happened to believe, in the first place, that the most extraordinary aspects of your being came from you. But maybe if you just believed that they were on loan to you from some unimaginable source for some exquisite portion of your life to be passed along when you're finished, with somebody else. And, you know, if we think about it this way it starts to change everything.
This is how I've started to think, and this is certainly how I've been thinking in the last few months as I've been working on the book that will soon be published, as the dangerously, frighteningly overanticipated follow up to my freakish success.
And what I have to, sort of keep telling myself when I get really psyched out about that, is, don't be afraid. Don't be daunted. Just do your job. Continue to show up for your piece of it, whatever that might be. If your job is to dance, do your dance. If the divine, cockeyed genius assigned to your case, decides to let some sort of wonderment be glimpsed, for just one moment through your efforts, then "Olé!" And if not, do your dance anyhow. "Olé!" to you, nonetheless. I believe this and I feel that we must teach it. "Olé!" to you, nonetheless, just for having the sheer human love and stubbornness to keep showing up.

The transition had been a matter of seconds

A theme was touched on last night which is one of the centerpiece themes of aboriginal shamanism: the felt presence of some kind of alien intelligence. An intelligence that is somehow co-present with the human sense of self, for different people, in different ways, with varying degrees of intensity in different times and places. At the bedrock of shamanism is the notion that life is really finally a mystery wrapped in an enigma, but without resolution. Nevertheless as you close distance with this mystery there are a series of analogical metaphors that don't really suggest themselves but that are communicated to you by the other.
One of these analogical metaphors is the presence of an alien intellect, an organized other that is folklorically present in tradition as fairies, gnomes, elves, jinns, afreets, sprites, tree spirits – that sort of thing – and anecdotally present in rural cultures throughout the world as the poltergeist and the milk-souring fairy – these things seem to reside in a curious area that is not epistemically clearly defined for the culture.
Among aficionados of these domains the question of, "is it real or not?" is thought to be mildly tasteless. You would intuitively sense if you were drinking in an Irish pub and people began to spin leprechaun stories, that the question "is it real?" is a real bring down. It isn't really like that because the question "is it real?" can ultimately be shown to be infantile in any situation. I mean, is the Bank of America real? Immediately we realize that ordinary experience is simply assumption skating over the mystery.
But I choose to talk so much about the felt presence of the other because it was for me such an astonishing personal surprise. I was raised Roman-Catholic and indulged in the kind of theological fiddle-faddle that that involves. And then grew out of that into atheism, into agnosticism. By the time I got to college, I was reading Jean Paul Sartre, Husserl and these people. My intellectual ontogeny had followed historical phylogeny and I had arrived in the 20th century. And then having thought I had absorbed the lessons of LSD, which seemed to me to be to reinforce and confirm the theories of Freud concerning the dynamics of the psyche: that it was about repressed memory, repressed desire, sexual neurosis, parental foul-ups and the imprinting of traumatic behavior experienced in infancy.

And then someone came to me one rainy February evening, in 1967, really a mad person, a kind of a social menace and intellectual criminal. A person who had said to me only months before, "we must live as if the apocalypse has already happened." Here he was on my doorstep and he wore little black suits that he buttoned up to the throat. Anyway, he came in and he said: "here's something that you might be interested in" and brought out a sample of di-methyltryptamine that he had somehow come into contact with. And I said, "well what is it?" And he said, "well, it's short acting – it's a flash." And I said, "how long does it last?" – that was my first mistake. He said, "oh it doesn't last long." So I said, "okay, we'll do it," and we did it.
And I discovered, I had, I guess it's called a peak experience, or a core revelation, or being born again, or having your third eye opened, or something, which was a revelation of an alien dimension: a brightly lit, inhabited, non three-dimensional, self-contorting, sustained, organic, linguistically intending modality that couldn't be stopped or held back or denied. I mean, I sank to the floor ... I couldn't move. I had become a disystolic hallucination of tumbling forward into these fractal geometric spaces made of light, and then I found myself in the sort of auric equivalent of the Pope's private chapel, and there were insect elf machines proffering strange little tablets with strange writing on them. And I was aghast, completely - appalled - because the transition had been a matter of seconds and my entire expectation of the nature of the world was being shredded in front of me. I've never actually gotten over it.
And it all went on: they were speaking in some kind of ... there were these self-transforming machine-elf creatures, were speaking in some kind of colored language which condensed into rotating machines that were like Faberge eggs, but crafted out of luminescent super-conducting ceramics, and liquid crystal gels, and all this stuff was just so weird, and so alien, and so "un-english-able" that I felt like it was a complete shock. I experienced the literal turning inside-out of the intellectual universe and I had come to this – I thought – fairly intellectually prepared: a kid, but nevertheless double-Scorpio, art history major, Hieronymus Bosch fan, Moby Dick, William Burroughs.
And as I came down ... this went on for two or three minutes, this situation of disincarnate dimensions orthogonal to reality engulfing me. And then as I came out of it, and the room sort of re-assembled itself, I said: "I can't believe it. It's impossible. It's im-possible!" That to call that a "drug" is ridiculous. It means that you just don't know, you don't have a word for it and so you putter around and you come upon this very sloppy concept of something which goes into your body and there's a change – it's not like that, it's like being struck by noetic lightning.

The other thing about it, which astonished me, was: there is no clue in this world, you know. In the carpets of Central Asia, in the myths of the Maya, in the visions of an Archembolo or a Fra Angelico or a Bosch – there is not a hint, not a clue, not an atom of the presence of this thing. When you look at the religious hierophanies of the human species, it doesn't have the same vibe, it doesn't the same charge. Religion is all about dissolving into unitary states of love and trans-linguistic oceanic unity and this sort of thing. This was not like that. This was more multiplistic than the universe that we share with each other. It was almost like the victory of neo-Platonic metaphysics – everything had become made out of a fourth-dimensional tesseractual mosaic of energy.
So, I was quite knocked off my feet and set myself the goal of understanding this. There was really no choice, you see? And I don't know how it hits other people. I mean, there are many things that can be said about introducing a chemical into your body. They've shown that certain people are 50,000 times more sensitive to the odor of certain compounds than other people. And part of the unique genetic heritage of each of us are our complement of synaptic receptors for psycho-active alkaloids. So that there may be something to the notion that the Celts tend to be poets, that certain peoples tend to be expressive in certain artistic modes, or certain senses seem to be accentuated for certain human sub-groups. But whatever the explanation for how it hit me, I felt it like a call: there was no turning back from trying to understand that, because there is no place for it in our world and yet it is overwhelmingly, existentially real. You see? And easily accessed. I'm not peddling that you have to go some place in India with poor sanitation and put yourself at somebody's feet for a dozen years or something like that. The enunciation of the presence of this dimension should inspire some kind of coming to terms with it. It's preposterous that we can entertain in our popular journalism the titillation of the search for extra-terrestrial intelligence, and prop up all these reductionist guys and trot them out to give the statistics on the distribution of G-type stars, and all this sort of thing. Because the fact is, what blinds us to the presence of alien intelligence is linguistic and cultural bias operating on ourselves. The world which we perceive is a tiny fraction of the world which we can perceive, which is a tiny fraction of the perceivable world. You see?

We operate on a very narrow slice based on cultural conventions. So the important thing, if synergizing progress is the notion to be maximized – and I think, it's the notion to be maximized – is trying to locate the blind spot in the culture: the place where the culture isn't looking, because it dare not. Because if it were to look there, its previous values would dissolve. You see? And I think, for Western civilization that place is the psychedelic experience as it emerges out of nature. And as human societies interact with the psychedelic experience in nature, they inevitably secrete the institution of shamanism. Like a pearl around a sand grain, a nexus point, a loci of interdimensional data flow, which is really what it is. It's the point that under certain conditions, which have to do with these molecules that have evolved in these species which have this weirdly quasi-symbiotic relationship to our species, you punch through the veil! You know, Melville said: "if you would strike, strike through the mask." And that's what's done, you strike through the mask of the coordinates of apparent reality. And then, this thing is there which to me is a miracle. It transcended any miracle I could ever ask for, because it not only had the quality of a miracle as I imagined it, it had the quality of a miracle as I could not have imagined it. It was entirely charged with the energy of the other. It had the ambiguity of a pun: a kind of zany, impossible, improbable, hysterical revelation of the joke, the self-contradiction, the provisional nature of it all – that it really is a Marx Brothers movie in some sense.

So I pursued it. First to Nepal, and involvement with pre-Buddhist shamanism in Tibet. The thing that puzzled me most – I guess because I was an art historian – was this absence of the theme in the artistic productions of human kind. I felt that maybe there was a trace of it in the artistic conceptions of the old pantheon of Tibetan shamanism. And that Central Asian Tibetan shamanism had actually created astronauts of inner space that had gotten good recon on this same area. The Dharmapalas, the guardians of the Dharma, are not Buddhist deities per se, they are autochonous Tibetan folk demons that protect the Dharma by virtue of the fact of having been overcome in magical battles by great Buddhist saints who came to Tibet. In fact, there are, or were before the Chinese occupation, monasteries in Tibet where the vow of fealty to the Dharma, on the part of the Dharmapala, had to be renewed by the monks every 24 hours or the thing would run amok and be on its own and bust up the countryside – I'm just telling you what they told me.
It seemed to me that the raw sense of the shamanically accessed demonic realm was there, and I also saw traces in Hellenistic gnosticism and alchemy. But such thin traces. So I went to Nepal, immersed myself in those studies, and decided ultimately that it was inaccessible. I wasn't sure whether it was there or not. And then I placed myself in the context of nature by moving my sphere of operations to eastern Indonesia. To the climaxed, continental rain forests of the ancient continent of Sundaland. You see Indonesia was a continent until as recently as 120,000 years ago. And then with the melting of the glaciers and the subsidence of the land, it became a vast group of islands. It was my good fortune, or the fortune of my fate – because it was prudent for me at that time in the late sixties to remain outside the United States – and so I sort of had to become the hero I had pretended to my friends that I was. Which I wasn't, I had an around-the-world air ticket and was entirely a preppie poseur, but suddenly, return was not a possibility. So I became, and my apologies to Buddhists in the audience, a professional butterfly collector, and I pursued this blood sport for many months in these remote montane jungles of eastern Indonesia.
And it was there that the missing link in the quest for the resolution of the meaning of DMT and spirit fell into place. Because I saw what most of us only see on National Geographic specials, which is the real fact of the rain forest, the real fact of organic nature, and how nature is communication. Not only are the species that comprise the biota linked by pheromones and acoustical signals and color signals and other various methods by which communication is seeping around. In fact, nature ultimately resolves itself into a self-reflecting, syntactical metasystem – you can pursue this right down to the DNA. DNA working as it does with nucleotide sequences that code – code, right? code that means arbitrarily assign association – code for certain amino acids: it means that organic objects are essentially utterances in three dimensional space and express of some kind of universally distributed linguistic intent. This is what it means when it says, "In the beginning was the word." Nature is that word. This infinitely self-adumbrating, fractal, syntactical hallucination that has an infinite number of facets for potential regarding and self-regarding.

And having said all of this, I might invoke here Godel's Incompleteness Theorem, which as I'm sure many of you know was Kurt Godel's brilliant contribution to theoretical mathematics where he showed that the possible set of true formal statements, generated by any formal system, exceeded the possible set of true formal statements, which the rules of that system allowed. He showed this for simple arithmetic. And what this means, friends, is that what was called truth up until the beginning of the twentieth century, is absolutely impossible – that's what Godel's Incompleteness Theorem secures. It shows that there is no ultimate closure in an effort to describe.
And so in a way, my take on nature, and culture, and man, is that human language is a meta-linguistic system, generated out of the necessary formal incompleteness of nature. You see? If that nature is a self-describing genetic language and yet out of it arises something which is not formally predicted by its constraints and rules. There's a symmetry break there, and a so-called emergent property comes into view. This emergent property is our unique ability to provisionally code sound to meaning, so that we then can freely command and reconstruct the world. We imagine that we do this for our own purposes of communication. The analysis that I'm suggesting would seem to indicate that actually we do it, because we are complicated enzyme systems that are moving linguistic charge around inside some kind of metasystem. A metasystem that is very important for the emergence of new order out of nature. You see? And I talked about that a little last night: the fact, that it is contrived, provisional, is very interesting. It doesn't arise out of the gene structure. Rather it is agreed upon by individuals who are living at the time that the linguistic structure, whatever it is, emerges into consciousness. Since individuals are replaced, the language is much more in flux than the genome. You see? The genetic component of an organism is a physical structure, stabilized by atomic bonds, possibly stabilized by a phenomenon like room-temperature's superconductivity. The way nature works is to conserve the genes. And so molecular machinery has evolved to do that. But there is no mechanism in nature with the same kind of binding force that conserves meaning. Meaning is some kind of freely-commanded, open-ended, self-evolving system. The rules are that there are no rules.
Meaning consequently addresses itself to a much larger potential modality of expression than the genes. The genes basically repeat themselves, over and over. Almost like Homeric poetry, where the idea is that it be memorized and repeated. And that's what sexuality is about, is memorizing and repeating gene structures, handing on parts of the story. But the epigenetic domain is different, the creation of linguistic systems, where meaning can be freely commanded, allows very rapid evolution of cultural norms.

And what I suggested last night and want to say more about it tonight is, that this process is mediated by plants. It is synergized in human beings by plants of all sorts. I mean, we are obsessed with drugs and short-term spectacular effects, but think about the effect on a culture of the presence or absence of say: sugar, or the presence or absence of coffee. What human culture can essentially be seen to be, is a series of plant-established developmental creodes for a higher mammal. The fact that we are omnivorous lays us open for the formation of weird relationships to things in our food chain. Everybody is taught in school that the Renaissance, the close of the Middle Ages, the rise of urban culture all had to do with the search for spices, right? Bringing spices back to Europe. Why was it so important, you know, that a drive to simply broaden the palate of Europe is given credit for the re-defining of post-medieval civilization? Very strange.

The amazing thing to me about the psychedelic experience, is that it can be kept under wraps. That people don't insist. That somehow we're leaving it to experts to figure it out. Supreme Knight appointed to board of Vatican bank

Vatican City, September 23, 2009) The Commission of Cardinals which oversees the activities of the Vatican's bank, formally called the Institute for the Works of Religion (IOR), has renewed the membership of the institute's board and made a few new appointments. Among the new appointees is the head of the Knights of Columbus Carl A. Anderson.
The IOR is a financial institution governed by a Board of Superintendence, which is, in turn, regulated by a Commission of Cardinals led by Tarcisio Bertone, the Vatican Secretary of State. The main function of the institute is to manage bank accounts for religious orders and Catholic associations.
The Supreme Knight's appointment to the IOR is the latest of his Vatican appointments, which include being appointed a member of the Pontifical Council for the Laity, as well as to the Pontifical Council for the Family. In 2007, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him as a consultor to the the Pontifical Council for Social Communications.
Mr. Anderson currently serves on the the Board of Trustees of the Catholic University of America and the the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. He is also a member of the bar of the District of Columbia and is admitted to practice law before the U.S. Supreme Court.
He will be serving the IOR alongside newly appointed President of the Board Ettore Gotti Tedeschi, an Italian banking magnate, and vice president Ronaldo Hermann Schmitz of Germany.

The facts for this article start with the action taken by the Vatican in the year 1778. Two years after the American colonists posted the Declaration of Independence, the Vatican declared an Edict that condemned the United States Constitutional Republic as an abomination, wickedness and sin that must be destroyed by any means possible.
The 1778 Vatican Edict has never been withdrawn, apologized for or modified. Why is this fact with the supporting documents not taught in private and public schools?
Eighty-nine years after the condemning Edict was released, all diplomatic ties were severed with the Vatican in 1867. The severe action was taken because Vatican had blatantly interfered with the political processes within the United States for nearly nine decades and more specifically, for protecting co-conspirator John Surratt after the assassination of Abraham Lincoln.
Why was the Monroe Doctrine of non-interference drafted and declared? As a follow-up to the 1778 Edict, the Vatican put on a conclave that specifically addressed and planned for a response to the threat posed by the Constitutional Republic of the United States.
The Vatican conclave concluded that one way to counter the Constitutional Republic was to infiltrate and influence all other countries in North, Central and South America. When American political leaders were informed of the Vatican goals, Thomas Jefferson, whose private papers are full of references to the threat posed by the Jesuits, and others wrote the Monroe Doctrine. The Monroe Doctrine was a direct response to the conclusions and goals stated in the Vatican conclave.

Follow the money

The Vatican, with the Jesuits functioning as its enforcers, turned their attention to taking over the money supply of America by creating a central bank that was vehemently opposed by President Andrew Jackson. An assassin, whose two guns both misfired while aimed at President Andrew Jackson, had indisputable ties and connections to the Jesuits.
President James Buchanan (1856) was convinced that President's William Harrison (1840) and Zachary Taylor (1848) were murdered by the Jesuits slyly administrating lethal doses of arsenic. Taylor and Harrison were pro-freedom, against a central bank and very anti-Jesuit/Vatican. President Buchanan always kept an antidote for arsenic poisoning within close proximity. While attending a celebration for the birthday of George Washington, 38 persons plus Buchanan drank out of a punch bowl. Within 24 hours all 38 persons were dead due to a massive dose of arsenic poisoning. Buchannan survived because he directed his physicians on how to administer the emergency antidote.
The final straw for American politicians was all the blatant evidence for the involvement of the Jesuits in the Lincoln assassination therefore all diplomatic relations were severed with the Vatican. Did you know that private citizen and lawyer Abe Lincoln defended a person in a criminal trial who was being falsely persecuted by the Jesuits? The Jesuits were enraged by Abe's actions. Did you know one of the key participants in the Lincoln assassination fled to and was protected by the Vatican because he was a Papal Guard? The Jesuit conspirator's name was John Surratt.

Because the United States legal system is based upon due process of law (or was before the Jesuit written Patriot Act), President Andrew Johnson, the U.S. Congress and the Supreme Court could not simply expel and deport the Jesuits as monarchies had done in Europe and Asia prior to 1867. Legal expulsion proceedings against the Jesuits would have taken decades and had the probabilities of being thwarted by Jesuits. The costs and the risks packing up and sending the Jesuits back to the Vatican via legislation and legal court proceedings were too high. Dispatching a military expedition to Rome to capture or wipe the Vatican leaders would have ignited a civil and an international world war ... and America was weary of war in 1867. To the regret of the Unites States political leaders in the post Civil War era, the most severe action they could take against the Jesuits was breaking all diplomatic ties with the Vatican. The ties remained severed until President Ronald Reagan (1980) overseen by key Knights of Malta within his cabinet, willingly re-established diplomatic ties in a false exchange for the Vatican's assistance in waging a monetary and economic war against the old Soviet Union. Reagan died having perpetrated the illusion that his diplomatically reconnecting the United States to the Vatican somehow was responsible for the Berlin Wall and communism being dismantled.
American political leaders of 1867 wanted and tried to send a message to the Vatican and the world by breaking all diplomatic relations but the message only enraged the Vatican. The crusade to destroy America and put it under the rule of the Pope by the Jesuit henchmen did not miss a step by the United States cutting all diplomatic ties with the Vatican.
Before reestablishing ties with Vatican in his delusional rush to wipe-out communism, did Reagan have a clue about the 500 year history of the Jesuits and the Vatican? Probably Reagan could not have had any insight or knowledge because there is not much political, intellectual and spiritual awareness on Hollywood/New York movie sets. The out-of-touch with reality motion picture, radio, music and television production locations are under the strict watchful eye and control of the Jesuits. Samuel Morse who created the Morse Code wrote numerous public papers on the threat of Jesuits to the United States. Taking control of America's money supply by transferring the printing of dollars to a private central bank was a goal of the Jesuits since the Declaration of Independence was written 1776. The Jesuits stealthy and deadly efforts for 137 years finally paid off. The Federal Reserve Act passed in the last minutes of the U.S. Congressional session on December 23, 1913. The anti-constitutional legislation was passed due to the urging of President Woodrow Wilson (1912) under the direction of his private secretary, Knight of Columbus Joseph M. Tumulty. Both Wilson and Tumulty were under the control of the first "American Pope", Baltimore Archbishop James Cardinal Gibbons. And Gibbons could have cared less if Wilson and Tumulty went to Confession or received Holy Communion.
A small minority quorum of Jesuit influenced political leaders voted for the Federal Reserve Act as the majority of non-Jesuit influenced political leaders were away from Washington D.C. while celebrating the holidays. In his memoirs shortly before he died, President Woodrow Wilson bitterly and sorrowfully regretted supporting and signing the Federal Reserve Act. Wilson admitted betraying and destroying America. Wilson was also the first American president to visit and kiss the ring the Pope of Rome in the Vatican subsequent to the Versailles Treaty after World War I.

The Jesuits lured key wealthy Americans who were opposed the Federal Reserve Act onto the ill fated Titanic that was being navigated by Captain Edward J. The Federal Reserve Act shifted the printing of money from the United States Treasury Department to a privately owned group called the Federal Reserve. Did you know the Vatican owns two-thirds of the property in Jerusalem and one-third of the land possession of the land by the Vatican was part of the original foundation and establishment of Israel? Will we see in our lifetime, the attempted transfer of the seat of the Catholic Church from Rome to Jerusalem where a massive new temple will be built as intended by the Jesuit Order since the 16th Century?
Stalin, who was educated and installed into power by the Jesuits, genocided millions of Russian Orthodox Christians whose descendants would have refused to convert to the Catholic faith once the New World Order was installed in the 21st Century. Similar operations were conducted by Jesuit educated and Jesuit/CIA installed Mao Zedong and Fidel Castro in their respective countries. Ninety-five percent of the notorious public and private political personalities and criminals over the past 300 years have been nurtured, educated, installed and protected by the Jesuits.

New York Archbishop Cardinal Francis Spellman hauntingly visited South Vietnam three times in the 1960s and blessed the Americans as "Soldiers of Christ". Ngo Dinh Diem, the CIA-backed military dictator of South Vietnam was a Roman Catholic whose one brother was the Catholic Archbishop of Hue and whose other brother was the head of the South Vietnam Secret Police (nepotism at is maximum). In an interesting twist of Jesuit irony, Diem's relative, Viet Dinh, was a co-author of the Patriot Act composed at Jesuit Georgetown University in Washington, DC. Dinh was also educated (brainwashed) at Georgetown University after escaping as a youth to the United States after the fall of South Vietnam.
Jesuit installed dictator Ngo Dinh Diem of South Vietnam conducted a brutal genocide for Cardinal Spellman (guided by the Jesuits at Fordham University) against the Buddhists while using U.S. and South Vietnam troops and supplies. The money to wage the Vietnam War on the Buddhists was loaned to the United States government by the privately owned Federal Reserve Bank that was established and controlled by the Jesuits via the Pope's Knights of Malta. In fact, Fordham's Jesuit Cardinal Avery Dulles, whose father was Secretary of State John Foster Dulles, is also a Knight of Malta. Also the monies to wage World Wars I and II were loaned to the United States by the Jesuit controlled Federal Reserve Bank.
Had the Treasury Department been the only entity printing money for the past 95 years with silver and gold reserves, the United States could have not created funds out of thin air to wage hot and cold wars and subversive operations against Japan, Germany, Italy, Korea, Russia, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Grenada, Panama, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Chile, Argentina, Venezuela, Somalia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran and countless other wasteful political and military enterprises that supported and executed the plans and goals of the Jesuits. The global warming alarmists who again have close ties to the Jesuits avoid the issue of how carbon emissions are polluting the air of our planet and ignore the scientific proofs that the entire solar system is warming due to the Sun. The Jesuit spokespersons also do not promote replacing gas combustion engines with electric motors and they totally ignore the 22,000 plus scientists who signed a petition stating global warming is not caused by carbon emissions.
And then there is the whole issue of how the Jesuits have been involved with and control powerful electromagnetic field (EMF) devices since their discovery in the early 1900s by Nikola Tesla and others. The Jesuit EMF devices provided to the United States, Russia and other nations are used to control weather, cause earthquakes and conduct covert communications and surveillance (HAARP). Jesuit EMF devices were the true source (not Uranium and Plutonium) for the massive detonations, destructions and mushroom clouds over Hiroshima and Nagasaki during World War II.
How ground based electromagnetic detonations (EMDs) occurred in two Japanese cities dominated by the Jesuits for over 200 years is a truly fascinating string of facts and evidence. The radiation poisonings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were caused by air-bursting conventional weapons loaded with Uranium (Hiroshima) and Plutonium (Nagasaki). Fat Man and Little Boy were dirty bombs that, when dropped by airplanes, exploded at high altitudes over the cities causing very little physical damage to structures with no mushroom cloud. The high altitude radioactive explosions were the signals for the non-radioactive, ground-based, Jesuit EMDs to be initiated with the ensuing massive destructions and mushroom clouds ...
In the mid 1980s, the Jesuit EMDs were used in an attempt to blast and build a lake canal so supertanker ships could simply float across (no locks) the country of Nicaragua. Whenever there is a massive explosion with a mushroom cloud somewhere on Earth, the cause is a Jesuit ground based EMD and not an aerial delivered or ground based dirty bomb with Uranium and Plutonium.

One month before the Challenger exploded in 1986, a small article appeared in the San Diego Union about a massive black cloud moving southwest (not natural) that was injected into the high atmosphere from Central America and drifted over the Galapagos Islands. There were no volcanoes erupting and no country or agency took official responsibility for the massive black cloud. Where the black cloud originated somewhere in Central America could have been seen by the crew during any NASA Space Shuttle mission.
Was the space shuttle Challenger sabotaged so the Jesuit EPDs could proceed with no interference by the teacher and reporter in space that were scheduled for launches in 1986? Did space shuttle missions resume after all Jesuit EPDs had either attempted to build or had successfully built a lake canal for supertankers across Nicaragua? Were the Jesuit educated and installed Ortega brothers in full compliance with the Jesuit EPD mission? The logical answer to all three questions is a resounding yes.
Further, Roman Catholic and Jesuit-backed absolute dictator Daniel Ortega was a personal friend of New York Archbishop John Cardinal O'Connor. Both the Cardinal's American Branch of the Knights of Malta and Fordham University's Jesuit-trained Director of Central Intelligence (DCI) William J. Casey openly backing the Contras. But, at the same time all these persons were involved in blowing up the Nicaraguan countryside with Jesuit EMDs to build a lake canal for supertanker ships.

Should there be massive explosions with the accompanying mushroom clouds over Tehran, Paris, Washington D.C., Los Angeles or any other city or military installation in the near future, the causes are ground based Jesuit EMDs with the intent of promoting the establishment of the Jesuit/Vatican New World Order. The Jesuits are the true master terrorists with the most powerful weapons of mass destruction on Earth yet they will also attempt to slowly poison you if you are a threat. Going, going and gone Catholic

The European Union charter states Catholic is the official religion of the European Union (EU) with the Pope as the infallible leader. Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair converted to the Catholic faith ... a must requirement before running for President of the EU. The EU is a blueprint for the North American Union (NAU) that is planned to become one functioning entity with the EU.
What is the common denominator of Roman Catholic Hugo Chavez of Venezuela and Skull and Bones George W. Bush of the United States? Both have kissed the ring of the Vatican Pope. According to Vatican tradition, kissing the ring of the Pope is recognition that the person is a servant of the Pope. Bush stated on the Eternal Word Television Network (ETWN) before Ratzinger's first visit to the U.S. that when the Pope talked "God was speaking". ETWN is a real piece of work and bizarre propaganda.
Why would the supposed sovereign leaders of Venezuela and the United States kiss the ring of the Pope when both men knew such as a gesture signaled to the Vatican that they were servants of the Pope? They kissed the ring because Chavez, Bush and all leaders of every significant nation are servants of the Vatican Pope.
According to Vatican tradition, when the Pope kneels down on and/or kisses the ground of the country he is visiting, his kneel or kiss means he literally and figuratively owns and rules that country. Pope Ratzinger did not kiss the ground as he departed the plane in Washington D.C. in April 2008 as other Popes have in the past because a minor but significant portion of the United States population is aware of and hip to the sick and perverted Vatican rituals. However, Ratzinger executed his warped rites as he knelt before the United Nations (UN) building during his first visit to New York. Ratzinger's genuflection declared, according to Vatican beliefs and traditions, the Vatican owns and controls the UN therefore also dominates over all life forms on planet Earth.
The Jesuits and the Vatican know and practice the adage: to have true and absolute power, one must completely control both the problem (Chavez) and the solution (Bush). And the Jesuits and the Vatican absolutely and deftly control all the true problems and solutions of our reality on planet Earth. But then who really is the problem and who is the solution? In Chavez's Venezuela the price of gas is has remained 5 cents per gallon for years while in Bush's United States the price of gas is nearing $5.00 per gallon. The rising price of gas is another tool by the Jesuits in the war against America and establishing their New World Order.

The Jesuit poison oath and brew

The final fact presented in this article is related to the Jesuit quest for money and possessions by the use of poisons. Last year the author was in the Bay of De Los Angeles on the central east coast of the Baja Peninsula in Mexico. The purpose of the trip to the middle of nowhere was to snorkel with whale sharks.
A small museum details the plight of a local native Indian tribe that had the misfortune of living on top of a goldmine in the late 1700s and early 1800s. Mysteriously the small tribe began dying from unknown causes. After the last member of extinct tribe died, all of the gold was removed by none other than the Jesuits who arrived five years before the Indians began dying of unknown causes. This same scenario has been repeated countless times by the Jesuits all over the Earth for the past 500 plus years.
As the potato crops mysteriously failed only in the country of Ireland (Jesuit chemical poisoning) and no other European country, massive numbers of Irish Catholics flooded the United States. The fleeing Jesuit poisoned Irish immigrants benefitted the English Royalty in the fight against Ireland as the new Blarney Stone settlers became a significant voting block who blindly and ignorantly supports the anti-Protestant Reformation/return to the Dark Ages agenda. The shocked and fearful Irish immigrants filled Jesuit Universities that are now the foundations for Neo Cons, Newt Gingrich, Bill O'Reilly, Pat Buchannan, Bill Clinton, criminal child sex abuse, the one and only Patriot Act, NAFTA, the North American Union, mercury based inoculations, anti-depressants, dumbing down of the youth, torture cells, water boarding and so forth and so on ... By the way, the author of this article is part Irish and attended Catholic school until the sixth grade. As you can observe, the Jesuits favorite tool is poison but then a portion of the oath taken by a Jesuit mandates such actions:

All the facts above are just a small portion of the extensive historic and present day situation related to the Jesuits and the Vatican. There is so much, much more. Cant. – in Mainz , 1723) Such are their effronteries. Such are their nostrums – my, my, what intriguing doctrines these men have – they will sell their souls on eBay.

Yes, I promise you that there will be many things that will surprise you, much that will shock you, and some that may even confuse you, but that in the end you will see the entire conspiracy revealed – laid bare, open, and naked before your eyes. Here, however, I hope to offer some solvents for your doubts. For I am fully aware that these facts and discussions in my book may be at first quite surprising to some, even shocking. No doubt there are those who will smile and say that this is no more than an enthusiastic working up of the imagination: mere conspiracy theories, by which to "allure and tickle weak minds". And so, upon the very subjects indicated and the above-mentioned connections, I will now offer details. For I know the state of minds today, and it does not enter into my plan to ignore any theme, any fact, which might persuade the doubter or convince the sceptic. To those who wish to sleep, sleep on, but let us not be naïve at our gross expense.

Chapter XXXII – Skull and Bones
"It's part of who I am" – The highest moral authority

During his presidential campaign of 2000, George W. Bush gave a 90-minute talk (on July 31) with the managing editor of the Illuminati controlled TIME magazine (so says Jesuit Professor Carroll Quigley: see later chapter titled "The Rhodes Gang"). At one point in the interview, Walter Isaacson asked Mr. Bush whether it troubled him at all that he had been initiated into the secret Society of Skull and Bones, to which Bush responded exuberantly, "No qualms at all. I was honored."
The problem with that response is that the secrets of this order mark its members as infidels and debauchees, with skeletons in their closets.
The reason the "literary society" of Skull and Bones is of particular concern is that its members are required to take an oath (see later) that completely absolves them from – takes precedence over – allegiance to any nation or king or government or constitution, including the negating of any subsequent oath which they may be required to take, that conflicts with the interests of the order. To whom then do they swear their ultimate allegiance? We must go back to the origin of the order to see the roots that sustain these branches.
Now, there has been a certain amount of deliberate falsehoods put out by some who belong to the order called Skull and Bones. I now offer a very different, and we hope more correct view. As we shall see, Skull and Bones is merely a chapter of the German Illuminati, founded by the Jesuit, Adam Weishaupt.

The history of Skull and Bones)
The masterminds behind the formation of Skull and Bones were William Huntington Russell and Alphonso Taft. Russell, while on a student tour of Germany, met Adam Weishaupt and was initiated by him into the Illuminati. In 1832, Russell took his newfound wisdom (or "illumination") back to America. A year later, in 1832, a group of Yale undergraduates, led by Alphonso Taft and Russell, formed a society called, "The Skull and Bones," modelled after the old Phi Beta Kappa Society of 1776 and set up as Chapter 322 of the German Illuminati. Today Skull and Bones' corporate name is The Russell Trust Association, which financies Skull and Bones, and also supervises the order's adherence to the tradition.
Alphonso Taft would later become both President and Chief Justice of the United States – one of four Justices known as the "Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse". Indeed, "Skull and Bones leads the list in influence, age, and society standing," among American secret society.

Why have I alleged that Skull and Bones is a Chapter of the German Illuminati formed by Adam Weishaupt? What evidence is there to support this? There is a world-wide secret society called the Brotherhood of Death Society, whose symbol is also the skull with two crossed bones. At this point we want to draw a comparison between Skull and Bones and the order known as the Thule Society, which many commentators have said is the German chapter of the Brotherhood of Death Society. It is known that Adolf Hitler joined this society in 1919, under the leadership of Dietrich Eckhart. As Eckhart revealed on his deathbed: "Follow Hitler! He will dance, but it is I who have called the tune. I have initiated him into the Secret Doctrine, opened his centers in vision, and given him the means to communicate with the powers."
Skull and Bones' symbol is also a skull with two crossed bones, but with the mysterious number "322" underneath. It is claimed that certain documents exist which state that Skull and Bones is Chapter 322 of a corps of a German University, and that this German Secret Society (the Thule Society) was the basis for the founding of Skull and Bones at Yale University in 1832. In 1876 the headquarters of Skull and Bones was broken into and a document was found inside with the these words: "From the German Chapter. Presented by Patriarch D.C. Gilman of D. 50."

There are indeed some very striking similarities. Like the Thule Society, members of the Order of Skull and Bones are initiated into the society by what is called "sexual magic ritual". "The [ritualistic] death of the initiate will be as frightful as the use of human skeletons and ritual psychology can make it." The Thule Society performed sexual rituals in their practices, likewise, Skull and Bones also incorporates sexual activities into their initiations (for which see later). Additionally, The Thule Society, were "concerned with raising their consciousness by means of rituals to awareness of evil and nonhuman intelligences in the universe, and with achieving means of communication with these intelligences." Likewise, the initiates of Skull and Bones believe that they are "born again", a term that in the Bones vocabulary means "enlightenment", not the usually meaning given to it in the Christian Gospels.
Significantly, in the book Proofs of a Conspiracy (previously cited) Prof. Robison described the initiation ceremony into the "Regent Degree" of the Illuminati, and according to author Kris Millegan, in his book Fleshing Out Skull and Bones, "It [the Illuminati's initiation ceremony] bears a striking resemblance to the […] ritual for entry into Skull and Bones at Yale."

The oath taken by the Illuminati requires the initiated to disregard all bonds of allegiance whether to father, mother, brothers, sisters, relations, friends or to the king, magistrates, and any other authority to which loyalty, obedience, or service may have been sworn. The particular passage reads: "faithfulness and everlasting obedience to all superiors and regulations of the order […] you are free from the so-called oath to country and laws: swear to reveal to the new chief […] what you may have seen or done, intercepted, read or heard, learned or surmised, and also seek for and spy out what your eyes cannot discern. Honour and respect the Aqua Tofana (a slow poison) as a sure, prompt, and necessary means of purging the globe by death of those who seek to vilify the truth [their ideology] and seize it from our hands [...] in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit."

"You must be born again": Initiation by Don Quixote
Let us look more closely at Skull and Bones and its grotesque Illuminati initiation ritual. On April 23, 2001, ABC News reported on a Hidden Video Capture of the Skull and Bones initiation ritual. From this video we know that the initiation takes place on the campus of Yale University in a building called "The Tomb". Ron Rosenbaum, columnist for the New York Observer, hid out on the ledge of a nearby building and videotaped the nocturnal initiation ceremony in the Tomb's courtyard. He says that in the room "The death's-head logo stamps everything from crockery to painted borders on the wall." There were three people officiating – one dressed like the pope, another like Hiram Abif (the Masonic Messiah) and a third like a Don Quixote.
Why the Skull and Bones ritual would have as officiants Bonesmen dressed like the pope, Hiram Abif, and Don Quixote? Let’s look at this a bit closer. However, we need not strain for an answer: the pope represents the supremacy of Catholicism, in Hiram Abif we have the well known representative of Freemasonry. But who is this character Don Quixote?
The Jesuit Carroll Quigley once said, "look at the real situations which lie beneath the conceptual and verbal symbols." So let's take his advice. Quixote was satirically characterized as the epically famous "madman" of Azpeitia. If we start with Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, the author of Don Quixote, we discover that not only was he a "strict Roman Catholic" it is believed that he also attended a Jesuit school in 1566: "Cervantes is likely [to have] enrolled in a Jesuit high school (colegio)." Next we find that Cervantes' book Don Quixote expressly refers to the pope as "His Holiness the Pope" and "his holiness Pope Pius V of happy memory." (pp. 138, 331).
Interestingly, Pope Gregory XII used almost identical words to Cervantes in his letter, dated December 12, 1580, inciting Catholics to murder Queen Elizabeth I: "that guilty woman (Elizabeth) of England […] is the cause of so much injury to the Catholic faith […] whosoever sends her out of the world with the pious intention of doing God service […] especially having regard to the sentence pronounced against her by Pius V of holy memory."
So who was this character represented by the original "Don Quixote" of whom Cervantes wrote so affectionately? "It was Ignatius Loyola," says English commentator John Bowle. Was Bowle right?
The theory that Loyola (the first Jesuit General) is the man represented in the figure of Don Quixote, as first mooted by Bowle, hangs on a passage in the book Don Quixote where the angry Biscayan, the enemy of Don Quixote, is made a native of Azpeitia – the name of the obscure Spanish village where Loyola was born. It is interesting to note that Quixote the "madman" of Azpeitia had wild visions of fighting with a dragon. Likewise, Ignatius Loyola claimed to have fought with Satan, who is referred to in the Bible as the winged "serpent" and "the dragon" (Revelation 12:3,9,17).
Further, in the story Don Quixote is said to have "composed a rosary" in honour of the Virgin Mary, who is typecast as the girl whom he loves "untouched by any man" who "still possesses […] virginity". A clear reference to the Virgin Mary – the idol of Loyola and the Jesuits. Even their mother church is named Mary.
In another book Our Lord Don Quixote (1905), Catholic professor Miguel de Unamuno draws parallels between Don Quixote and the life of the founder of the Jesuit Order, Ignatius of Loyola, their "Lord". And the Jesuit-trained Voltaire wrote, the only difference between Loyola and the Quixote, is that "Don Quixote had a horse and an esquire, but Ignatius was not provided with either."

Another link to the Jesuits is the use of the skull and crossbones emblem. Earlier we saw that when a Jesuit of the lower rank is to be elevated to a position of command, he is conducted into a chapel of the order, where he swears an oath under "a banner of yellow and white [the colours of the pope], and […] a black banner with a dagger and red cross above a skull and crossbones." Bonesmen likewise take an oath of inviolate secrecy while standing before a skull and cross-bones. So, here we see that the Skull and Bones initiation ritual, like that of the Jesuits uses the occult icon of the skull and crossbones.
It is also curious that the emblem of the skull and crossbones is also the symbol of the chancellor for the Knights of Columbus. Interestingly, at the initiation of mason the initiate is placed in a coffin and then lifted up, and when he opens his eyes he is confronted with a human skull and crossed bones? Are these similarities between the initiation of Skull and Bones, the Jesuits and Freemasons just another coincidence?
Albert C. Stevens (the respected historian) also makes this interesting connection between the Masonic Kappa Sigma society, founded in 1867 at the University of Virginia, and Skull and Bones. On page 355, Stevens states, "The badge [of Kappa Sigma] is an inverted crescent of gold, attached to and below which, by four of its points, is a five-pointed star [the pentagram] with the letters Kappa Sigma in its center […] At the top, on the crescent, a skull and bones are engraved. At the left, the crossed keys [a symbol of the pope's power]. And at the right, crossed swords." Is this all mere coincidence?
Returning to Quixote. Note, too, that "the hero [Don Quixote] is not one whom the author [Cervantes] desired to revile or to malign," rather, says Charles Francis Horne, "never was a satire like this, which leaves us full of love and sympathy for the object [Quixote, i.e. Loyola]." Thus, in the initiation ceremony of Skull and Bones, the pope, the Masonic Hiram Abif, and the Jesuit icon, Don Quixote, are all figures of admiration and emulation. Not surprisingly, then, many of the leading politicians in America, Bush, Clinton, Kerry, Rice, etc., bend and fawn before the Roman pontiff.
It is also quite interesting to note that Pope Benedict XVI (when he was Cardinal Ratzinger) also praised the character Don Quixote. In his book Principles of Catholic Theology the Pope referred to the madman Don Quixote as "a crusader for truth even if the defense of it should cost him his life." Did not Loyola, that "ingenious gentleman" and crusader, teach the members of his order to defend the Catholic faith at all hazards, even at the cost of their lives? Is that what Pope Benedict XVI is suggesting to his flock? Is this one of the Principles of Catholic Theology?

To continue with the initiation. The Skull and Bones initiate is made to "face a skeleton, and at its feet are a crown and a sword." During this ritual the Bonesmen shriek out, "Eulogia! Eulogia! Eulogia!" as the initiate is escorted into the inner temple (Room 322), where he is made to sign his name to an oath of utmost secrecy. He is then made to stand before a picture of Judas Iscariot, whose name is shouted aloud three times.
The initiate is next led to the most important part of the ritual, and pushed to his knees before a human skull filled with blood, which skull is resting at the foot of a human skeleton called "Madame Pompadour". The other Bonesmen cry: "Drink it! Drink it! Drink it!" This mockery of the Christian sacrament is known as the "Black Mass". When he is done drinking, the initiate is whipped in the face with the tail of the person dressed as the Don Quiote (the classic literary character symbolic of Ignatius Loyola). He is next taken quickly before the Bonesman dressed like the Pope. The initiate must bend and "kiss the Pope's slippered toe". This very fact – kissing the slippered toe of the pope – shows that their first allegiance is to the pope! Just as the "faithful" Catholic kisses the toe of the bronze statue of St. Peter, inside the Basilica at Rome, so too, the Bonesman must kiss the pope's slippered toe at his ritual initiation into the Order.
But that is not all. The candidate is then shoved to his knees in front of Don Quixote. As the shrieking Bonesmen fall silent Don Quixote taps the supplicant on his shoulder with a sword and says: "by order of our order, I dub you a Knight of Eulogia." This is significant! Not only does the initiate kiss the pope's toe, more importantly, the initiate is welcomed into the order by the figure symbolizing the Jesuit General, Don Quixote: "I dub you a Knight of Eulogia." This lurid "melodrama" culminates in a ritual of mock sacrifice of a naked female.

The religion of Skull & Bones: is Bush Christian?
The sitting President, George W. Bush, is worryingly "religious". The President claims that he is on a "divinely" appointed mission! We shall see a little later.
The Bonesmen use the Greek word: eulogia ("blessing") and are referred to as Knights of Eulogia, because, according to the lore of Skull and Bones, a Roman goddess called Eulogia, after ascending to heaven in 322 B.C., came back to earth in 1832 to found their society. Students of history will know that the Greek general, Alexander the Great died in 322 B.C. and was buried in Memphis, Egypt, and that his body was dug up and reburied in the Gnostic capital of Alexandria. As it turns out, the home of Skull and Bones, on the campus of Yale, is a windowless structure built to look like a mausoleum (a tomb) in a Greco-Egyptian style.
Is Bush a Christian? Judge for yourself.
At one stage in the ritual initiation of Skull and Bones the initiates must "lay naked in coffins and tell their deepest and darkest sexual secrets as part of their initiation". (Esquire, September, 1976, p. 85) Satanic high priest Anton LaVey explains the significance of this in his book The Satanic Rituals – Companion to the Satanic Bible: "The ceremony of rebirth takes place in a large coffin […] This is similar to the coffin symbolism that […] is found in most lodge rituals." Curiously enough, during the 1988 Presidential Campaign, a TV reporter asked Vice-President George H. W. Bush Sr. (father of President George W. Bush) whether he was a Christian. Bush Sr. initially stammered, but then said, "if you mean born again, then, yes, I am a Christian." Now, was that a misleading statement on the part of George Bush Sr.? Is he a Christian or just "born again" Bonesman?
Just to set the record straight, so that Christians don't get confused about Bush's "born again" lark: Skull and Bones believe that on the night of initiation, the initiate "dies to the world and [is] born again into the order." When an initiate enters the coffin during his initiation, he is considered to have "died to self and to this world", and born again into the Order. He is not born again in Christ.

Here is part of a 2000 interview (original transcript) given by the son, President George W. Bush Jr.: "Time) But you sure shared a lot of the same upbringing: Andover, Yale, even Skull and Bones. Did you have any qualms, say, about joining an elite secret club like Bones?
Bush) No qualms at all. I was honored. I was fairly nonchalant. I didn't view it as a great heritage thing. I didn't take it all that seriously.
Time) Demystify it a bit for those who might think it's a cross between a Masonic Lodge and the Trilateral Commission. Did your father show up for your initiation, like your grandfather showed up for his?
Bush) Without revealing all the great secrets? I got a few of my old club mates who could demystify it right off the bat. My dad didn't tap me. Someone a year ahead of me tapped me. There was an entry celebration. I can't remember whether my dad showed up or not."
Note that President Bush did not deny that Skull and Bones was a Masonic Lodge, rather he confirmed that he could not reveal "all the great secrets". In fact that same 2000 interview, Bush said of his family's historical involvement in Skull and Bones: it is "my heritage. Its part of who I am." Indeed it is: his father, George H.W. Bush Sr. is also a "born again" member. Bush once said, to understand people you have to look at their family.

So, what exactly is Bush's mission? "I'm here for a reason," Bush told his chief political aide Karl Rove after the September 11 attacks. Close friends of the President speak of his views in similar terms: "I think, in his frame, this is what God has asked him to do," said one close friend. One senior administration official said, "[Bush] really believes he was placed here to do this as part of a divine plan." The question is: what divine plan is he referring to, God's or someone else's? We can guess the answer from a statement that Bush made two years into his presidency: "The best way to honour Pope John Paul II […] is to take his teaching seriously […] and put his words and teachings into action here in America." Perhaps this explains what President Bush meant when three years later in 2004 he told the Knights of Columbus that he was their "friend in […] administration", and that together they would work "to change America"! Is President Bush a Catholic, you ask? Really, dear reader, you are far too inquisitive!
On March 23, 2001, a day after promising to put the pope's teachings into action in America, Bush was speaking at the Catholic University of America, and he reminded his audience that the former president of the Soviet Union had called the pope "the highest moral authority on earth." Why did Bush feel the need to remind his audience of this? Does Bush also regard the pope as "the highest moral authority on earth?"
Perhaps Bush and the Russian President were referring to a papal statement made on July 18, 1870 by Pope Pius IX: "We declare it to be an article of faith that the Roman Pope possesses infallibility in any doctrine relating to faith and morals. If anyone shall oppose this our decision, which God forbid, let him be accursed."
Intelligent reader, whenever you hear a man express such views, as freely as Bush does, you can be sure that he is either a Jesuit, a tool of the Jesuits or that he has been "poisoned by their maxims". Take your pick, the conclusions are not far different. Bonesmen do not kiss the pope's ring at their initiation ceremony for no reason!

The Belfast Telegraph, April 14, 2007 reported: "US President George W. Bush will meet with Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican in June." This meeting took place on June 25, 2007. Both men exchanged gifts. Why would the President of the United States of America go to Rome to kiss the ring of a mitred king of the Vatican? Bush had a "closed-door discussion" with Pope Benedict! As one of my acquaintances asked, "what did Bush and Benedict say to one another during those 35 minutes of privacy following the journalists' departure from the Pope's [private] library?" Equally fascinating is the significance of Benedict's "message-packed" gift to the U.S. commander-in-chief: a rare first edition of the autobiography of John Carroll of Baltimore. John Carroll was the first Catholic Archbishop of the United States and founder of the first Jesuit university in America: Georgetown University!
How profound of D.S. Phelan (a priest) to say, "the pope is the ruler of the world. All the emperors, all the kings, all the princes, all the presidents of the world are as these altar boys of mine." Why do you doubt this? Have we not seen photographic, video and Television images of three U.S. presidents kneeling in homage before the bier of Pope John Paul II.
Robert Higgs comments of the power of the pope: "observing the many government leaders gathered at the Vatican for the funeral of Pope John Paul II, we might well have suspected that the world's politico-military chieftains need what the Pope has more than the Pope needs what they have."

AB) The effects … could you describe them … to much of my audience that I know can recall the effects of LSD or various mushrooms …
TM) LSD – it's very different.
AB) very different …

TM) Well, LSD is a kind of psychological self-examination and … with strange thought prozesses and insides … What happens with DMT is, there is the unstateable feeling of having gone to a place!
In other words, it comes on in about 15 seconds, and suddenly you're in a place, and this place is full of what I call self-dribbling jeweled basketballs that are intelligent in some hints. They're like the athletically trained rottweilers! They come founding forwards and what they're doing in there is, they're conducting some kind of a language lesson because they speak! They have a language which you can see – is the only way I can explain it.

AB) What is the source of DMT? It is a man-factured drug?
TM) It can be but its source is really in nature, in plants like […] the whole bunch of this latin salad. Most of these are south american plants. But the every ecosystem on earth has DMT sources in it. In fact the human brain naturally produces DMT. Why? We don't know. But I'd say there is a strong clue: here is a drug which causes these crystalline little creatures and the same substance occurs naturally in the human brain. Now I'm not saying that's the answer to the UFO phenomenon but how many people have looked to this and pursued this?
AB) Then let me ask this: there are many who claim to have been abducted, Terence, and if DMT is a natural occuring substance in the brain, your theory can probably be verified by measuring those who have claimed to be abducted. Would such a measurement scientifically be possible?

TM) Well, the problem is you recall, I've said, the only last 5 minutes. So, unusual amounts of it in the body are very quickly brought down to base line – one of the most transient drugs in the body ever observed! So, and an interesting thing about that, Art, is, when they measured presence they looked at human cerebrospinal fluid, and they discovered that it reaches its greatest concentration there between three and four in the morning. Well, that's when people are doing the intense REM dreaming.
And so I think, you know, the Australien Aborigines have this concept of the dream time. And I think, when you put the dream time, the chemestry of DMT, the abduction stories together and the depth with which modern media had programmed and messed with people, you're very closed to being able to begin to talk about the alien phenomenon.
I think there are aliens, but I think they can only reach us through our mind. They don’t cross the universe in ships of titanium. They don’t even project holograms of themselves into the desert air. They come through the human mind! And if you look at the human mind in all cultures and in all kinds and places – except western europe in a few intellectuals in the past few hundred years – the human mind had always been haunted by sprites, gnomes, nixies, elves.
So, I don't see the UFO … the modern wave as anything more than the latest wave of this mysterious relationship we have with this embodied mind through the imagination. Well, then people say: Oh, this is the old psychological reduction argument. No. Because when I say the human imagination, I don't mean some poultry psychological function … I think the human imagination is the largest part of us and where we're going to stand most of the rest of human history.

Anders gesagt, es geht los nach etwa 15 Sekunden, und plötzlich bist du an einem Ort und die Umgebung dort ist voll mit – wie ich es nenne – selbstspringenden, mit Juwelen geschmückten Basketbällen, die sich in mancher Hinsicht intelligent verhalten. Sie sind wie athletisch trainierte Rottweiler. Sie bauen etwas auf und veranstalten darin eine Art Sprachunterricht, denn sie sprechen! Sie haben eine Sprache, die man sehen kann – das ist die einzige Erklärung, die mir einfällt.

TM) Kann es sein, doch seine eigentliche Quelle liegt in der Natur, in Pflanzen wie [...] die ganze Palette dieses lateinischen Namen-Salats. Die meisten davon sind südamerikanische Pflanzen, aber jedes Ökosystem auf der Erde verfügt über DMT-Quellen. Tatsache ist, das menschliche Gehirn produziert von sich aus körpereigenes DMT. Warum? Das wissen wir nicht. Ich würde jedoch behaupten, wie haben einen starken Anhaltspunkt: hier ist ein Stoff, der diese kristallinen, kleinen Kreaturen erzeugt, und dieselbe Substanz kommt auf natürlichem Weg im menschlichen Gehirn vor. TM) Wie gesagt, das Problem dabei ist, du erinnerst dich nur an die letzten 5 Minuten. Ungewöhnliche Mengen davon werden im Körper sehr schnell zurück aufs Ausgangsniveau gebracht – eine der flüchtigsten Substanzen, die man im Körper je nachgewiesen hat! So, und eine interessante Sache dabei ist, Art, als sie DMT-Vorkommen angezeigt bekamen, sahen sie nach der menschlichen Gehirn-Rückenmarks-Flüssigkeit und entdeckten, dass diese ihre höchste Konzentration in der Zeit zwischen drei und vier Uhr morgens erreicht. Nun, genau um diese Zeit erlebt der Mensch die intensive REM-Traumphase.

Sie durchqueren das Universum nicht in Schiffen aus Titan und sie projizieren schon gar keine Hologramme von sich in die Wüstenluft. Sie kommen durch den menschlichen Geist! Und wenn du dir den menschlichen Geist betrachtest ... in allen Kulturen und in allen Gattungen und Gegenden – mit Ausnahme Westeuropas bei einigen Intellektuellen in den letzten paar hundert Jahren – ist der menschliche Geist immer verfolgt worden von Kobolden, Gnomen, Wassernixen, Elfen.
Ich verstehe das UFO sozusagen als neumodische Ausgabe, als die jüngste Welle dieser mysteriösen Beziehung, die wir mit diesem körpergebundenen Geist durch unsere Vorstellungskraft haben. Nun, die Leute sagen dann: Ach, das ist die alte, abwertende Argumentation der Psychologie. Nein. Denn wenn ich von menschlicher Vorstellungskraft spreche, meine ich damit keine gefiederte psychologische Funktion ... Ich denke, die Phantasie ist der größte Teil von uns, wo wir den größten Teil der restlichen Menschheitsgeschichte verbringen werden.

I want to present to you a suite of six mycological solutions, using fungi, and these solutions are based on mycelium. The mycelium infuses all landscapes, it holds soils together, it's extremely tenacious. This holds up to 30,000 times its mass. They're the grand molecular disassemblers of nature, the soil magicians. They generate the humus soils across the land masses of Earth. We have now discovered that there is a multi-directional transfer of nutrients between plants, mitigated by the mycelium, so the mycelium is the mother that is giving nutrients from alder and birch trees to hemlocks, cedars and Douglas firs. Dusty and I, we like to say, on Sunday this is where we go to church. I'm in love with the old-growth forest, and I'm a patriotic American because we have those.
Most of you are familiar with portobello mushrooms. And frankly, I face a big obstacle when I mention mushrooms to somebody, they immediately think portobellos or magic mushrooms. Their eyes glaze over, and they think I'm a little crazy. So I hope to pierce that prejudice forever with this group. We call it mycophobia: the irrational fear of the unknown when it comes to fungi.
Mushrooms are very fast in their growth: day 21, day 23, day 25. Mushrooms produce strong antibiotics. In fact, we're more closely related to fungi than we are to any other kingdom. A group of 20 eukaryotic microbiologists published a paper two years ago erecting opisthokonta, a super-kingdom that joins animalia and fungi together. We share in common the same pathogens. Fungi don't like to rot from bacteria, and so our best antibiotics come from fungi. But here is a mushroom that's past its prime. After they sporulate, they do rot. But I propose to you that the sequence of microbes that occur on rotting mushrooms are essential for the health of the forest. They give rise to the trees, they create the debris fields that feed the mycelium.
And so we see a mushroom here sporulating. And the spores are germinating, and the mycelium forms and goes underground. In a single cubic inch of soil, there can be more than eight miles of these cells. My foot is covering approximately 300 miles of mycelium.
This is photo-micrographs from Nick Read and Patrick Hickey. And notice that as the mycelium grows, it conquers territory and then it begins the net. I've been a scanning electron microscopist for many years, I have thousands of electron micrographs, and when I'm staring at the mycelium I realize that they are microfiltration membranes. We exhale carbon dioxide, so does mycelium. It inhales oxygen, just like we do. But these are essentially externalized stomachs and lungs. And I present to you a concept that these are extended neurological membranes. And in these cavities, these microcavities form, and as they fuse soils, they absorb water. These are little wells. And inside these wells, then microbal communities begin to form. And so the spongy soil not only resists erosion, but sets up a microbial universe that gives rise to a plurality of other organisms.

I first proposed, in the early 1990s, that mycelium is Earth's natural Internet. When you look at the mycelium, they're highly branched. And if there's one branch that is broken, then very quickly, because of the nodes of crossing - Internet engineers maybe call them hot points – there's alternative pathways for channeling nutrients and information. The mycelium is sentient. It knows that you are there. When you walk across landscapes, it leaps up in the aftermath of your footsteps trying to grab debris. So I believe the invention of the computer Internet is an inevitable consequence of a previously proven biologically successful model. The Earth invented the computer Internet for its own benefit, and we now, being the top organism on this planet, are trying to allocate resources in order to protect the biosphere.
Most of you may not know that fungi were the first organisms to come to land. They came to land 1.3 billion years ago, and plants followed several hundred million years later. How is that possible? It's possible because the mycelium produces oxalic acids and many other acids and enzymes, pockmarking rock and grabbing calcium and other minerals and forming calcium oxalates. Makes the rocks crumble, and the first step in the generation of soil. Oxalic acid is two carbon dioxide molecules joined together. So fungi and mycelium sequester carbon dioxide in the form of calcium oxalates. And all sorts of other oxalates are also sequestering carbon dioxide through the minerals that are being formed and taken out of the rock matrix.
This was first discovered in 1859. This is a photograph by Franz Hueber. This photograph's taken 1950s in Saudi Arabia. 420 million years ago, this organism existed. It was called Prototaxites. Prototaxites, laying down, was about three feet tall. The tallest plants on Earth at that time were less than two feet. Dr. Boyce, at the University of Chicago, published an article in the Journal of Geology this past year determining that Prototaxites was a giant fungus, a giant mushroom. Across the landscapes of Earth were dotted these giant mushrooms. All across most land masses. And these existed for tens of millions of years.
Now we've had several extinction events, and as we march forward, 65 million years ago ... most of you know about it: we had an asteroid impact. The earth was struck by an asteroid, a huge amount of debris was jettisoned into the atmosphere. Sunlight was cut off, and fungi inherited the Earth. Those organisms that paired with fungi were rewarded, because fungi do not need light. More recently, at Einstein University, they just determined that fungi use radiation as a source of energy, much like plants use light. So the prospect of fungi existing on other planets elsewhere, I think, is a foregone conclusion, at least in my own mind.
The largest organism in the world is in Eastern Oregon. I couldn't miss it. It was 2,200 acres in size. 2,200 acres in size, 2,000 years old. The largest organism on the planet is a mycelial mat, one cell wall thick. How is it that this organism can be so large and yet be one cell wall thick, whereas we have five or six skin layers that protect us?
The mycelium, in the right conditions, produces a mushroom. It bursts through with such ferocity that it can break asphalt.

We were involved with several experiments. I'm going to show you six, if I can, solutions for helping to save the world. Battelle Laboratories and I joined up in Bellingham, Washington, there were four piles saturated with diesel and other petroleum waste. One was a control pile, one pile was treated with enzymes, one pile was treated with bacteria and our pile we inoculated with mushroom mycelium. The mycelium absorbs the oil. The mycelium is producing enzymes, peroxydases, that break carbon-hydrogen bonds. These are the same bonds that hold hydrocarbons together. So the mycelium becomes saturated with the oil, and then, when we returned six weeks later, all the tarps were removed, all the other piles were dead, dark, and stinky. We came back to our pile, it was covered with hundreds of pounds of oyster mushrooms, and the color changed to a light form. The enzymes re-manufactured the hydrocarbons into carbohydrates. Fungal sugars.
Some of these mushrooms are very happy mushrooms. They're very large. They're showing how much nutrition that they could've obtained. But something else happened, which was an epiphany in my life. They sporulated, the spores attract insects, the insects laid eggs, eggs became larvae. Birds then came, bringing in seeds, and our pile became an oasis of life. Whereas the other three piles were dead, dark and stinky, and the PAH's, the aromatic hydrocarbons, went from 10,000 parts per million to less than 200 in eight weeks. The last image we don't have: the entire pile was a green berm of life. These are gateway species. Vanguard species that open the door for other biological communities.
So I invented burlap sacks (bunker spawn), and putting the mycelium using storm blown debris, you can take these burlap sacks and put them downstream from a farm that's producing E. coli, or other wastes, or a factory with chemical toxins, and it leads to habitat restoration. So we set up a site in Mason County, Washington, and we've seen a dramatic decrease in the amount of coliforms. And I'll show you a graph here. This is a logarithmic scale, 10 to the eighth power. There's more than a 100 million colonies per gram, and 10 to the third power is around 1,000. In 48 hours to 72 hours, these three mushroom species reduced the amount of coliform bacteria 10,000 times. Think of the implications. This is a space-conservative method that uses storm debris. And we can be guaranteed that we will have storms every year.

So this one mushroom, in particular, has drawn our interest over time. This is my wife Dusty with a mushroom called Fomitopsis officinalis = Agaricon. It's a mushroom exclusive to the old-growth forest, that Dioscorides first described in 65 A.D. as a treatment against consumption. This mushroom grows in Washington state, Oregon, Northern California, British Columbia, now thought to be extinct in Europe. May not seem that large, let's get closer! This is extremely rare fungus. Our team, and we have a team of experts that go out, we went out 20 times in the old-growth forest last year - we found one sample to be able to get into culture.
Preserving the genome of these fungi in the old growth forest I think is absolutely critical for human health. I've been involved with the U.S. Defense Department BioShield program. We submitted over 300 samples of mushrooms that were boiled in hot water, and mycelium harvesting these extracellular metabolites. And a few years ago, we received these results. We have three different strains of Agaricon mushrooms that were highly active against pox viruses. Dr. Earl Kern, who's a smallpox expert of the U.S. Defense Department, states that any compounds that have a selectivity index of two or more are active. 10 or greater are considered to be very active. Our mushroom strains were in the highly active range. There's a vetted press release that you can read, it's vetted by DoD, if you Google "Stamets" and "smallpox". Or you can go to NPR.org and listen to a live interview.
So, encouraged by this, naturally we went to flu viruses. And so for the first time I am showing this. We have three different strains of Agaricon mushrooms highly active against flu viruses. Here's the selectivity index numbers. Against pox, you saw 10s and 20s, now against flu viruses, compared to the ribavirin controls, we have an extraordinarily high activity. And we're using a natural extract within the same dosage window as a pure pharmaceutical. We tried it against flu A viruses, H1N1, H3N2, as well as flu B viruses. So then we tried a blend, and in a blend combination we tried it against H5N1, and we got greater than 1,000 selectivity index. (Applause) I then think that we can make the argument that we should save the old-growth forest as a matter of national defense. (Applause)

I became interested in entomopathogenic fungi, fungi that kill insects. Our house was being destroyed by carpenter ants. So I went to the EPA homepage, and they were recommending studies with metarhizium species of a group of fungi that kill carpenter ants, as well as termites. I did something that nobody else had done. I actually chased the mycelium when it stopped producing spores. These are spores. This is in their spores. I was able to morph the culture into a non-sporulating form. And so the industry has spent over 100 million dollars specifically on bait stations to prevent termites from eating your house. But the insects aren't stupid, and they would avoid the spores when they came close, and so I morphed the cultures into a non-sporulating form. And I got my daughter's Barbie doll dish, I put it right where a bunch of carpenter ants were making debris fields, every day, in my house, and the ants were attracted to the mycelium, because there's no spores. They gave it to the queen. One week later, I had no sawdust piles whatsoever.
And then - a delicate dance between dinner and death - the mycelium is consumed by the ants, they become mummified and, boing, a mushroom pops out of their head. (Laughter) Now after sporulation, the spores repel. So the house is no longer suitable for invasion. So you have a near-permanent solution for re-invasion of termites. And so my house came down, I received my first patent against carpenter ants, termites and fire ants. Then we tried extracts, and, lo and behold, we can steer insects to different directions. This has huge implications. I then received my second patent and this is a big one. It's been called an Alexander Graham Bell patent, it covers over 200,000 species. This is the most disruptive technology, I've been told by executives of the pesticide industry, that they have ever witnessed. This could totally revamp the pesticide industries throughout the world. You could fly 100 Ph.D. students under the umbrella of this concept, because my supposition is that entomopathogenic fungi, prior to sporulation, attract the very insects that are otherwise repelled by those spores.

And so I came up with a Life Box because I needed a delivery system. The Life Box – you're gonna be getting a DVD of the TED conference – you add soil, you add water, you have mycorrhizal and endophytic fungi as well as spores, like of the Agaricon mushroom. The seeds then are mothered by this mycelium. And then you put tree seeds in here, and then you end up growing – poten tially – an old growth forest from a cardboard box.
I want to re-invent the delivery system and the use of cardboard around the world, so they become ecological footprints. If there's a YouTube like site that you could put up, you could make it interactive, zip code-specific, where people could join together, and through satellite imaging systems, through Virtual Earth or Google Earth, you could confirm carbon credits are being sequestered by the trees that are coming through Life Boxes.
You could take a cardboard box delivering shoes, you could add water – I developed this for the refugee community – corns, beans, and squash, and onions. I took several containers – my wife said, if I could do this, anybody could – and I ended up growing a seed garden. Then you harvest the seeds – and thank you, Eric Rasmussen, for your help on this – and then you're harvesting the seed garden. Then you can harvest the kernels, and then you just need a few kernels ... I add mycelium to it, and then I inoculate the corn cobs. Now, three corn cobs, no other grain – lots of mushrooms begin to form. Too many withdrawals from the carbon bank, and so this population will be shut down. But watch what happens here. The mushrooms then are harvested, but very importantly, the mycelium has converted the cellulose into fungal sugars. And so I thought, how could we address the energy crisis in this country? And we came up with Econol.
Generating ethanol from cellulose using mycelium as an intermediary and you gain all the benefits that I've described to you already. But to go from cellulose to ethanol is ecologically unintelligent, and I think that we need to be econologically intelligent about the generation of fuels. So we build the carbon banks on the planet, renew the soils ... these are a species that we need to join with. I think engaging mycelium can help save the world. Thank you very much. (Applause)

'The Christ Conspiracy' in the Huffington Post

My friend Dr. Robert Eisenman, a well-known Bible scholar, has just scored a major coup – albeit one that may not be immediately recognized – in his article for the Huffington Post entitled, "Redemonizing Judas: Gospel Fiction or Gospel Truth?" In this essay, Dr. Eisenman – a main mover behind getting the Dead Sea Scrolls released to the public – explores the propensity of scholars, journalists and other writers to simply accept a priori the story of Jesus Christ in the New Testament as factual and to proceed from there. His analysis – "castigation" may be a fairer term – is prompted by a recent New Yorker article regarding the Gnostic text "The Gospel of Judas", which created such a brouhaha some years ago when it was given a great deal of publicity.

In his article, Eisenman approaches to the heart of the issue – one that I have been writing about for almost two decades – in describing his eloquent outburst at a National Meeting of The Society of Biblical Literature, which he terms "the premier organization in this field." Rising at the end of a discussion of the Gospel of Judas by various scholars, Eisenman remarked:
[And here is the key point for everyone: the upshot of this necessarily-brief discussion was how few "orthodox Gospels" had come to light from the Second Century but, on the other hand, how many heterodox. Did this mean that more people were reading "sectarian Gospels" at that time, not "orthodox" ones? The answer of the more conservative scholars on the Panel was, "not really but that, in any case, the Gospel of Judas was less historical than they" a conclusion echoed by Ms. Acocella above.
At that point, as there seemed to be no further questions, I gathered my courage, stood up, and asked:]
"What makes you think any are historical and not just retrospective and polemical literary endeavors of a kind familiar to the Hellenistic/Greco-Roman world at that time? Why consider one gospel superior to the another and not simply expressions of retrospective theological repartee of the Platonic kind expressed in a literary manner as in Greek tragedy? The Gospel of Judas was clearly a polemical, philosophical text but, probably, so too were most of these others. Why not consider all of them a kind of quasi-Neoplatonic, Mystery Religion-oriented literature that was still developing in the Second Century and beyond, as the Gospel of Judas clearly demonstrates?"

A sort of hushed silence fell on the three hundred or so persons present in the audience, because there was a lot of interest in this Gospel at that time, as I continued: "Why think any of them historical or even representative of anything that really happened in Palestine in the First Century? Why not consider all Greco-Hellenistic romantic fiction or novelizing with an ax-to-grind, incorporating the Pax Romana of the earlier Great Roman Emperor Augustus, as other literature from this period had and, of course, the anti-Semitism and anti-Jewish legal attachments which were the outcome of the suppression of the Jewish War from 66-73 CE?

The Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans were masters of such man/god fiction and the creation of such characters as Osiris, Dionysus, Asclepius, Hercules, Orpheus, and the like as the works of Hesiod, Euripides, Virgil, Ovid, Petronius, Seneca, Apuleius, et. al. demonstrate. Why not consider all of this literature simply part of this man/god personification literature, in this instance incorporating the new Jewish concept of 'Salvation' – 'Yeshu'a'?"

Bravo, Dr. Eisenman! In these three pithy paragraphs, you have epitomized what I call, "The Christ Conspiracy," the title of my first published book, subtitled, "The Greatest Story Ever Sold."

Jesus Mythicism in a nutshell: This thesis, which is called "Jesus Mythicism", evinces that the Christ myth was created by various factions in the Roman Empire, based on certain mythical motifs concerning the numerous gods and goddesses of antiquity, and largely for the purpose of uniting Judaism and Paganism.
As concerns the issue of Judas specifically, when the subject is studied in depth, factoring in not only the Jewish scriptures but also Pagan writings and traditions, it is obvious that the Judas character is fictional, based on the Jewish people as a whole and designed to play the "heavy" in an old mythical drama predating the common era for centuries. For example, "Judas" takes the role of the Egyptian god Set/Seth in the Horus-Set battle, as outlined in the Egyptian texts as well as the writings of Greek historian Diodorus Siculus (90-27 BCE). In his "Antiquities of Egypt", Diodorus recounted that Horus was killed by Set in the form of a scorpion, after which the Egyptian solar deity was resurrected from the dead. As I discuss in my book "Christ in Egypt", Diodorus uses the Greek verb anastesai to describe Horus's resurrection – the very same word used in the later Christian texts to describe Jesus's resurrection.

It is highly obvious from Eisenman's comments that this first-rate professional scholar is well aware of the "Christ Conspiracy" thesis, so to speak, and has worked it out quite well. [At this point Chair Williams finally cut in, gave an answer on behalf of what he claimed to be (and I believe him) "the whole panel" – that, "tradition affirmed they were."] The question is will other academicians follow suit by pursuing this most rational explanation of the origins of Christianity? Eisenman's motivation for expressing this unpopular but logical viewpoint is clear: Jews over the centuries have been unfairly targeted and persecuted by being called "Christ-killers," when in fact the entire story smacks of a fictionalized rehash of the myths of earlier gods, goddesses, heroes and so on. In the end, to continue this fallacious perception of the gospel story as "history" represents a disservice to all peoples, as such a position not only deludes but also prevents us from knowing the true meaning behind the myths.

Donovan Haagensen: At first, it would seem almost needless that the Bible should be examined and dissected to such an extent as to reveal its seemingly obvious man-made fabrication. After all, there appears to be no need to apply the same painstaking investigation into debunking the works of Hans Christian Andersen, or the Brothers Grimm, or C.S. Lewis, or any children's fairytales, considering that they have long been unquestionably accepted as fictional creations originating from the minds of the authors who wrote them. And it doesn't take a learned academic to spot the apparent similarity of the writing styles of these fictional tales and the texts contained in the Bible, the most predominant resemblance being the abundance of verbal exchanges between characters whose names, incidentally, change according to the language they're translated into – something you don't generally find in historical accounts.

But the difference is, innocent children's fables are not the basis for world-dominating cults or religions, and if they were, most people would surely think it to be absurd, fanatical, and outrageously extreme, or, in simple terms, just plain crazy. Yet, is it not just as crazy and ludicrous that millions upon millions of people on this planet are doing exactly that when it comes to these religious texts?

However, since the vast majority of the world actually believes these sacred allegories to be authentic records of actual events, it is therefore necessary to expose the folly of such gullibility in logical and easily understandable terms, which is what D.M. Murdock has quite clearly done (in this case, focusing specifically on the four Gospels of the New Testament) in her book "Who was Jesus? Fingerprints of the Christ". Not only has she revealed the obvious erroneousness and fictional nature of the Gospels, but she has 'dismantled' and carefully laid out all the essential elements and clues on the table, so to speak, focusing on each individual component, and plainly demonstrating, in a very rational and objective manner, the indisputable facts, as well as highlighting the evident flaws. Even if the information she divulges seems obvious to anyone who has long been sceptical of the content contained within the "Good Book", it is nevertheless a riveting and enjoyable read – uncomplicated and coherent, and free of condescension and convolution. Furthermore, she does not express personal opinions, make speculative judgements, or attempt to sway anyone to a particular school of thought, but instead applies the same acumen and impartialness that any scholar or scientist would be expected to employ in the investigation of any subject under examination. In short, Ms. Murdock's conclusions, which are reached by use of logical deduction and rationale, appear to be incontrovertible.

"Who was Jesus?" is an important book, essential in the ongoing enterprise of exposing the truth and enlightening the world, so that we may have a future where morals, ethics, integrity, and simple goodness are the order of the day.

'Die Christus-Verschwörung' in der Huffington Post

Mein Freund Dr. Robert Eisenman, ein namhafter Bibelwissenschaftler, landete mit seinem Artikel "Die Neuauflage der Verteufelung des Judas: biblische Dichtung oder biblische Wahrheit" soeben einen – obgleich der als solcher nicht sofort zu erkennen sein dürfte – bedeutenden Coup in der Huffington Post. In seinem Aufsatz widmet sich Dr. Eisenman – eine treibende Kraft bei den Bemühungen, die Schriftrollen vom Toten Meer an die Öffentlichkeit zu bringen – dem Hang von Wissenschaftlern, Journalisten und anderen Autoren, die Geschichte von Jesus Christus aus dem Neuen Testament von vornherein schlichtweg als gegeben anzunehmen und von dort dann einfach weiter zu verfahren. Mit seiner Abhandlung – "Geißelung" wäre ein angemessenerer Ausdruck – reagiert er auf einen kürzlich im New Yorker erschienenen Artikel zu dem gnostischen Text "Das Judasevangelium", welches vor einigen Jahren ziemliche Aufregung verursachte, als ihm eine Menge öffentlicher Aufmerksamkeit zuteil wurde.

In seinem Artikel kommt Eisenman zum Kern des Problems – eins, worüber ich seit fast 20 Jahren schreibe – als er seinen eloquenten Gefühlsausbruch bei einem nationalen Treffen der Gesellschaft für Bibel-Literatur schildert, die von ihm als "die führende Organisation auf diesem Gebiet" bezeichnet wird. Zum Schluss einer Diskussion verschiedener Wissenschaftler über das Judasevangelium erhebt er sich und bemerkt:
"Was veranlasst sie zu der Annahme einige seien historisch und nicht einfach rückschauende und polemische Literaturanstrengungen in der Art, wie wir sie von der hellenistischen/griechisch-römischen Welt aus dieser Zeit kennen? Warum ein Evangelium einem anderen vorziehen? Warum sie nicht einfach als Ausdrucksformen eines retrospektiven theologischen Schlagabtauschs der platonischen Sorte betrachten, wie er in literarischer Form in der griechischen Tragödie zum Ausdruck kommt? Das Judasevangelium war eindeutig ein polemischer, philosophischer Text, doch das waren alle anderen wahrscheinlich auch. Warum nicht alle von ihnen gewissermaßen als quasi neoplatonische, auf den Mysterienkult bezogene Literatur ansehen, der sich im zweiten Jahrhundert noch weiter entwickelt hat, wie das Judasevangelium klar nachweist?

Eine Art unterdrücktes Schweigen überkam die etwa 300 im Publikum anwesenden Personen (zu jener Zeit herrschte großes Interesse an diesem Evangelium), als ich fortsetzte: "Warum irgendeinen von ihnen als historisch bewerten oder überhaupt als repräsentativ für das, was im ersten Jahrhundert in Palästina wirklich vor sich ging? Warum nicht erwägen, alle der griechisch-hellenistischen Liebesdichtung zuzuordnen oder einer mit gezielten Absichten verfassten Prosa, die sich – wie es von anderer Literatur dieser Epoche bekannt ist – mit der Herrschaftsideologie des römischen Reichs des frühen römischen Imperators Augustus auseinandersetzt sowie natürlich mit den antisemitischen und antijüdischen Rechtszusätzen, die das Resultat der Zerschlagung des jüdischen Aufstands von 66 bis 73 u.Z. waren?

Die Ägypter, Griechen und Römer waren doch Meister im Verfassen solcher Mensch/Gott-Erzählungen, und die Erschaffung solcher Charaktere wie Osiris, Dionysos, Asklepios, Herkules, Orpheus und jener, die in den Werken von Hesiod, Euripides, Vergil, Ovid, Petronius, Seneca, Apuleius u.a. dargestellt sind. Warum nicht die Gesamtheit dieser (biblischen) Literatur einfach als Teil dieser Mensch/Gott-Personifizierungs-Literatur in Betracht ziehen, in diesem Fall unter Einbeziehung des neuen jüdischen Konzepts der 'Erlösung' – 'Yeshua'?"

Bravo, Dr. Eisenman! In diesen drei prägnanten Absätzen haben Sie kurz dargestellt, was ich "Die Christus-Verschwörung" nenne, der Titel meines zuerst veröffentlichten Buches, untertitelt mit "Die größte Story die jemals verkauft wurde".

Jesus-Mythologismus kurz zusammengefasst) Diese These, die ich "Jesus-Mythologisierung" nenne, zeigt, dass der Christus-Mythos aufbauend auf bestimmten mythischen Motiven, die mit zahlreichen Göttern und Göttinnen der Antike zu tun haben, von verschiedenen Fraktionen im römischen Imperium vorwiegend zum Zweck der Vereinigung des Judentums mit dem Heidentum erschaffen wurde.
Was die Judas-Frage speziell angeht: wenn das Thema gründlich und unter Berücksichtigung nicht nur der jüdischen Schriften, sondern auch der heidnischen Aufzeichnungen studiert wird, ist es offensichtlich, dass es sich bei Judas um eine fiktionale Figur handelt, die auf dem jüdischen Volk als Ganzes beruht und vorgesehen wurde, in einem alten Phantasie-Schauspiel, das um Jahrhunderte vor unsere Zeitrechnung zurückreicht, die Rolle des "Bösewichts" zu spielen. "Judas" übernimmt z.B. die Rolle des ägyptischen Gottes Seth im Kampf zwischen Horus und Seth, wie er sowohl in den ägyptischen Texten wie auch den Niederschriften des griechischen Historikers Diodors (90-27 v.u.Z.) zusammengefasst wurde. Diodor berichtet in seinen "Antiquitäten Ägyptens", dass Horus von Seth in Gestalt eines Skorpions getötet wurde, wonach die ägyptische Sonnen-Gottheit von den Toten wieder auferstand. Wie ich in meinem Buch "Christus in Ägypten" darlege, verwendet Diodor das griechische Verb anastesai, um die Wiederauferstehung von Horus zu beschreiben – genau dasselbe Wort kommt später in den christlichen Texten bei der Wiederauferstehung von Jesus zum Einsatz.

Den Bemerkungen von Eisenman zufolge ist es in hohem Maße offensichtlich, dass dieser erstklassige professionelle Gelehrte vor der These von der "Christus-Verschwörung" sozusagen gewarnt war und ziemlich gut pariert hat. Die Frage ist, werden andere Akademiker nachziehen und diese rationalste Erklärung über die Ursprünge/Abstammung des Christentums weiterverfolgen. Eisenmans Motivation, diesen missliebigen jedoch logischen Standpunkt vorzubringen, ist eindeutig: Juden wurden Jahrhunderte lang ungerechterweise aufs Korn genommen und verfolgt, indem man sie "Christus-Mörder" schimpfte, während in Wirklichkeit die ganze Geschichte nach einem fiktiven Wiederkäuen der Sagen über frühere Götter, Göttinnen, Helden etc. schmeckt. Mit dieser trügerischen Vorstellung von der biblischen Geschichte als (tatsächliche) "Historie" weiterzumachen, bedeutet letzten Endes allen einen schlechten Dienst erweisen, weil uns eine derartige Haltung nicht nur in die Irre führt, sondern auch das Wissen über den wahren Sinn dieser Fabeln vorenthält.

Donovan Haagensen: ein wichtiges und aufschlussreiches Buch

Es käme einem zunächst schier unnötig vor, dass die Bibel für eine Offenlegung ihres allem Anschein nach eindeutigen Charakters als Phantasieprodukt menschlichen Ursprungs in einem solchen Ausmaß untersucht und zerlegt werden müsste. Schließlich scheint es keinerlei Bedarf zu geben, dieselbe akribische Untersuchung auf die Werke von Hans Christian Andersen, den Gebrüdern Grimm, Clive Staples Lewis oder andere Märchenbücher für Kinder anzuwenden, wenn man bedenkt, dass sie seit langem unbestritten als fiktive Kreationen, die ihren Ursprung im Geist des Autors haben, der sie niederschrieb, akzeptiert werden. Und es braucht keinen gelehrten Akademiker, um die offenkundigen Ähnlichkeiten bei den Schreibstilen dieser ausgedachten Geschichten und den Texten, die die Bibel enthält, ausfindig zu machen, die hervorstechendste/am meisten vorherrschende Ähnlichkeit findet sich im Überschwang der Wortwechsel zwischen Figuren, deren Namen sich zufälligerweise der Sprache gemäß, in die sie übersetzt wurden, ändern – etwas, auf das man in historischen Darstellungen üblicherweise nicht stößt.

Der Unterschied ist jedoch, unschuldige Märchen für Kinder sind nicht die Basis für weltbeherrschende Kulte oder Religionen, und wenn sie es wären, würden es die meisten Menschen mit Sicherheit absurd, fanatisch und unerhört extrem finden, kurz gesagt, ganz einfach verrückt. Es wäre trotzdem bei weitem nicht so wahnsinnig und grotesk wie der herrschende Umstand, dass Millionen über Millionen von Menschen auf diesem Planeten genau das tun, wenn es ihre religiösen Texte betrifft.

Doch weil die überwiegende Mehrheit der Weltbevölkerung tatsächlich glaubt, diese sakralen Allegorien seien authentische Aufzeichnungen aktueller Ereignisse, ist es notwendig, die Torheit solcher Leichtgläubigkeit in logischen und leicht verständlichen Worten herauszustellen, und das hat D.M. Murdock völlig klar in ihrem Buch "Wer war Jesus? Fingerabdrücke des Christus" getan (in diesem Fall speziell mit dem Hauptaugenmerk auf die vier Evangelien des Neuen Testaments). Nicht nur, dass sie die offenkundige Irrtümlichkeit und die fiktionale Beschaffenheit der Evangelien entlarvt hat, sie hat zudem alle wesentlichen Elemente und Anhaltspunkte, die eine Rolle spielen, 'demontiert' und aneinandergereiht, jede Komponente einzeln unter die Lupe genommen und in einer sehr rationalen und objektiven Art und Weise die unbestreitbaren Fakten schlicht dargelegt sowie die nachgewiesenen Fehler hervorgehoben.
Selbst wenn die Information, die sie enthüllt, für jemanden, der dem Inhalt des "Guten Buchs" seit langem skeptisch gegenüber steht, offensichtlich zu sein scheint, ist es dessen ungeachtet ein fesselndes Lesevergnügen – unkompliziert und schlüssig und nirgendwo herablassend oder verschlungen. Außerdem vermeidet sie persönliche Meinungen, fällt keine spekulativen Urteile und versucht niemanden zu einer bestimmten Denkrichtung zu verleiten. Stattdessen gebraucht sie denselben Scharfsinn und dieselbe Unvoreingenommenheit, die von jedem Gelehrten oder Wissenschaftler bei der Untersuchung eines bestimmten Themas als gegeben vorausgesetzt wird. Frau Murdocks Schlussfolgerungen, zu denen sie durch logisches Schließen und rationale Erklärung gelangt ist, scheinen, kurz gesagt, unbestreitbar zu sein.

"Wer war Jesus?" ist ein wichtiges Buch, maßgeblich bei dem andauernden Unternehmen die Wahrheit aufzudecken und die Welt aufzuklären, auf dass wir eine Zukunft haben mögen, wo Sittlichkeit, Ethik, Integrität und einfache Herzensgüte an der Tagesordnung sind.

You know, it's difficult enough if you get 20 people together in a room and have them witness some event, it's difficult enough to get them all to agree on what they have seen. We know this from psychological studies: if 10 different people witness a crime, they will give 10 different descriptions of the perpetrator. But here is the bizarre thing: in experiences that our scientists define as non-real or illusory, the experiences that we call hallucinations, in those experiences people all over the world universally report the same experiences, and that is the experience of passing through into another realm which is absolutely real, convincingly, seamlessly real, which is inhabited by intelligent beings who seem to want to communicate with you. And these beings often take the form of half-animal, half-human hybrids. And overlaid against the perception of these beings, there are often geometrical patterns, grids, zig zags, wavy lines appear as well. And this is universal. It's found from people from all different cultures and at all different periods of history. It's documented in the painted caves from 35.000 years ago. This same experience, that people in modern lab research using hallucinogens to investigate human consciousness report, encountering exactly the same kind of beings, the half-human, half-animal hybrids, for example, that we find painted on the walls of the caves 35.000 years ago.

What it really tells us is that we must try to explain, why it is that people experience the same thing in this supposedly non-real realm. And one possible explanation for it – and that's the explanation that shamans all over the world offer – is that that other realm, that we enter in the altered state of consciousness, is in fact real. And that is why people see the same things, because they're going to the same places, they are projecting their consciousness into the same places. And this is what shamans believe, and the shamanic view of the universe and of reality is radically different from the view of western science. Western science believes, that if you cannot weigh something, measure it and count it, then it simply doesn't exist, it's not there. They must be able to approach it with their instruments and if they can't, it doesn't exist, it's an illusion. Shamans review things quite differently. They believe, that whether we like it or not, whether we agree with it or not, we are tied up with the spiritual realm, and if we wish to deal with problems in this physical world than we cannot ignore that spiritual realm. And often the root cause of problems will be in that spiritual realm. So rather than sticking their heads in the sand and pretending that it doesn't exist, what shamans attempt to do is to become masters of that realm. They developed technics for altering their consciuosness at will, and the most widely used technic is the use of hallucinogenic plants. But there are other technics as well. And they enter the other realm, and they master it, and they deal with it and negociate with the spirits there, and they frequently bring back useful information of great value in this physical world, particularly to do with healing.

This is a bridge which helps people in western culture to understand what's going on here. Because now for the first time, thanks to quantum physics, which really goes back to the 1920s or so, thanks to the insights and discoveries of quantum physics, most people are aware that the existence of parallel dimensions is a very real possibility. Quantum physicists have powerful experimental evidence, indirect evidence, to suggest that these parallel dimensions exist. And one of the big projects of quantum physics is to crack open the parallel dimensions, to find a way into them. And that's what the largest scientific instrument on the planet, the Large Hydrogen Collider in Switzerland, is partly about, a multi-billion dollar instrument, designed to explore parallel dimensions. Well, that's what shamans have been doing for tens of thousands of years. They've been exploring parallel dimensions, and they call them spirit worlds, and they don't need a gigantic instrument to do it. They use the power of their own minds, the power that is inherented in their own brains. Perhaps what they are doing – we need to think of the brain as a receiver of information, as a receiver of consciousness – perhaps what they are doing is retuning the receiver wavelength, so that shifts them off – shall we call it – "channel normal" and puts them into another channel, where the information that they receive is real and is valid, but is not accessible to us in normal states of consciousness.

Yes, I think, there is no doubt about this. If you go back to the source of any of the great religions, you're going to find shamanic experiences. Now I realize, that this may cause offense and I don't wish to offend Christians. I just ask Christians to review this information with an open mind. St Paul and his Damascus Road Experience is of fundamental importance to Christianity and to development and spread of Christianity. What St Paul experienced there was a classic shamanic experience: a blinding light in a sense of a complete change of his life, of a whole new flood of information came into his mind. And from that, much of the spread of Christianity owes its strenght. Christ himself is a powerfully shamanic figure. Most shamans around the world today believe, that they are partly from the spiritual realm, that they may have a mother or a father in the spiritual realm, and that they are connected to this world and to the spirit world. And of course, Christ is the same kind of figure: he is partly divine and partly human, part spirit, part man. So I think, the connections are very clear and very obvious there.
The problem is ... we can find this in all religions: in the case of the Mormons, for example. What has Joseph Smith encountered but an angelic being, a supernatural being, who presents to him certain texts on golden tablets. The case of Mani, the Manichaen faith, he also had almost identical experiences. You can repeat this story again and again in religions: at the very source and heart of the religion is a profound experience that an individual or a group of individuals had in an altered state of consciousness. Then what happens is that the classic bureaucratic structure of humanity begin to impose themself on this original experience and within a few generations, the religion has moved away from direct experience of the spirit realm and substituted a class of priests in between us and the spirit world. And those priests are generally motivated entirely by this world, and religion then becomes an instrument of material oppression and control, and is co-opted by the political establishment, when in fact at the heart of the religion is a direct experience of another world. Those were relegated to myths, and, in fact, you find in many religions as they develop, they turn against the notion that those who follow the religion should experience altered states of consciousness. Many religions are vehemently opposed to altered states of consciousness, even though their own validity derives originally from an altered state of consciousness. But this is a normal process. This is what human beings do. Human beings are power animals, and any structure can be co-opted to the power interests of particular groups. And that's unfortunately what is happen with religions. And the great world religions today are all in my view very far removed from their shamanic roots, greatly to their cost.

Diese Wesen nehmen oft die Gestalt von Mischformen aus Mensch und Tier an, wobei die Wahrnehmung dieser Zwitterwesen oft von geometrischen Mustern, Gittern und Zick-Zack-Linien überlagert ist, Wellenlinien tauchen auch auf. Und das gilt allgemein. Das ist so beschrieben worden von Angehörigen der verschiedensten Kulturkreise und Geschichtsepochen. Es ist dokumentiert in Höhlenmalereien, die 35.000 Jahre alt sind. Dasselbe Erlebnis, das Menschen unter modernen Laborbedingungen nach Einnahme von Halluzinogenen zur Erforschung des eigenen Bewusstseins haben, trifft z.B. haargenau auf dieselbe Sorte Halb-Mensch-Halb-Tier-Mischwesen, die wir seit 35.000 Jahren auf Höhlenwänden verewigt finden.

Es sagt uns, dass wir versuchen müssen eine Erklärung zu finden, warum das so ist, dass in dieser angeblich nicht-realen Welt Menschen dieselben Erfahrungen machen. Eine mögliche Interpretation dafür ist – Schamanen in aller Welt bieten diese Deutung an – dass dieser andere Bereich, den wir in einem veränderten Bewusstseinszustand betreten, tatsächlich real ist. Leute sehen deshalb dieselben Dinge, weil sie an denselben Ort gehen, sie projizieren ihr Bewusstsein an denselben Ort. Das ist, was Schamanen glauben, daher ist die schamanische Sichtweise auf Weltall und Wirklichkeit grundverschieden von der westlicher Wissenschaftler. Westliche Wissenschaft glaubt, wenn du etwas nicht abwiegen kannst, nicht messen und nicht zählen kannst, dass es schlicht und einfach nicht existiert, es ist nicht da. Sie müssen mit ihren Instrumenten darauf zugreifen können – geht das nicht, existiert es nicht und ist ein Hirngespinst. Schamanen betrachten Dinge ganz anders. Sie glauben, ob wir es mögen oder nicht, ob wir damit einverstanden sind oder nicht, wir sind verbunden mit diesen spirituellen Gefilden, und wenn wir Probleme in dieser körperlichen Welt bewältigen wollen, können wir diese geistige Dimension nicht ignorieren. Und oft wird die eigentliche Ursache unserer Probleme auf dieser geistlichen Ebene zu finden sein. Anstatt also den Kopf in den Sand zu stecken und vorzuschützen, dass sie nicht existiert, versuchen Schamanen dieser Realität Herr zu werden. Sie entwickelten Techniken, mit denen sie ihr Bewusstsein nach Belieben umwandeln. Die am häufigsten angewandte Methode dabei ist die Verwendung halluzinogener Pflanzen. Doch es gibt auch andere. Und sie betreten dieses Reich, und sie meistern diese Situation, und sie beschäftigen sich damit, und sie verhandeln mit den Geistern dort, und sie bringen nicht selten nützliche Informationen von hohem Wert mit zurück in diese körperliche Welt, insbesondere was Heilverfahren betrifft.

Das ist eine Brücke, die Menschen aus der westlichen Welt hilft zu verstehen, was hier vor sich geht. Weil jetzt zum ersten Mal dank der Quantenphysik – in Wirklichkeit geht das schätzungsweise auf die 20er Jahre im letzten Jahrhundert zurück – dank den Erkenntnissen und Entdeckungen der Quantenphysik die meisten Leute die Existenz von Parallel-Dimensionen als eine sehr reale Möglichkeit anerkennen. Quantenphysiker verfügen über beeindruckende experimentelle Hinweise, indirekte Nachweise, die nahe legen, dass diese Parallel-Dimensionen bestehen. Eines der ganz großen Projekte der Quantenphysik will die Parallel-Dimensionen aufknacken und einen Eingang finden. Zum Teil war das der Grund für den Bau des größten Wissenschaftsapparats auf dem Planeten, dem LHC in der Schweiz, einem Multi-Milliarden-Dollar-Instrument, entworfen zur Erforschung paralleler Dimensionen. Nun, genau das praktizieren Schamanen seit Zehntausenden von Jahren. Sie haben Parallel-Dimensionen, die sie Geisterwelten nennen, aufgespürt und ausgespäht und brauchen kein gigantisches Gerät um es zu tun. Sie nutzen die Kraft ihrer eigenen Psyche, die von Natur aus präsente Power in ihrem Hirn. Was sie möglicherweise machen, ist – wir müssen uns das Gehirn als einen Empfänger für Information vorstellen, als einen Empfänger für Bewusstsein – sie verändern möglicherweise die Empfänger-Wellenlänge, und das schmeißt sie aus dem – nennen wir es mal – "Kanal Normal" und steckt sie in einen anderen Kanal, wo die Information, die sie empfangen, echt und gültig aber für uns im Normalzustand nicht zugänglich ist.

Ja ich denke, darin besteht kein Zweifel. Wenn man zum Ursprung egal welcher der großen Religionen zurückgeht, wird man auf eine schamanische Erfahrung stoßen. Mir ist schon klar, dass dies als Beleidigung aufgefasst werden könnte, und es ist bestimmt nicht meine Absicht Christen zu nahe zu treten. Ich bitte Christen nur darum, diese Information unvoreingenommen zu überprüfen. Paulus' Damaskuserlebnis ist von fundamentaler Bedeutung für das Christentum, für seine Entstehung und Verbreitung. Was Paulus dort widerfahren ist, war ein klassisches schamanisches Erlebnis: ein blendendes Licht und dem Aufruf, sein Leben komplett umzukrempeln, eine völlig neue Flut an Information kam ihm in den Sinn. Diesem Schlüsselerlebnis verdankt die Ausbreitung des Christentums seine Stärke. Christus selbst ist eine machtvolle schamanische Gestalt. Die meisten Schamanen in aller Welt glauben heute, dass sie zum Teil von dem geistlichen Reich abstammen, wo sie eine Mutter oder einen Vater haben, und dass sie mit beiden, dieser und der spirituellen Welt, verbunden sind, und Christus ist natürlich auch so eine Figur: er ist zum Teil göttlich und teilweise menschlich, halb Geist, halb Mensch. Ich denke, die Zusammenhänge hier sind sehr klar und sehr offensichtlich.
Das Problem ist ... wir treffen das in allen Religionen an: z.B. bei den Mormonen. Wem ist Joseph Smith denn begegnet wenn nicht einer engelsgleichen Gestalt, einem übersinnlichen Wesen, das ihm einige Texte auf goldenen Tabletts überreichte. Im Fall von Mani, dem manichäischen Glauben, machte der Gründer so gut wie das Gleiche durch. Diese Geschichte kann man bei Religionen immer wiederfinden: an der tiefsten Quelle und im innersten Herz der Religion trifft man auf eine profunde, mitreißende persönliche Erfahrung, die unter anderen Bewusstseinszuständen entweder von einem Einzelnen oder einer Gruppe gemacht wurde. Später dann beginnen die klassisch-bürokratischen Strukturen der Menschheit sich dieser Urerfahrung aufzudrängen, und innerhalb weniger Generationen hat sich die Religion von direkten Erlebnissen in geistlicher Umgebung fortbewegt und eine Priesterkaste zwischen uns und der Geisterwelt postiert. Und weil die Priester üblicherweise zur Gänze durch diese Welt motiviert sind, wird Religion immer mehr ein Instrument umfassender Unterdrückung und Kontrolle und schließlich durch das politische Establishment vereinnahmt, wenn doch eigentlich im Zentrum der Religion direkte Erfahrungen einer anderen Welt standen. Diese wurden rasch zu Mythen degradiert, und in der Tat, es trifft auf viele Religionen zu, dass, sobald sie sich entwickeln, der Gedanke, das Experimentieren mit veränderten Bewusstseinszuständen unter Anhängern der Religion zu fördern, verworfen wird. Viele Religionen sind sogar trotz der Tatsache, dass ihre eigene Geltungskraft ursprünglich von einem veränderten Bewusstseinszustand herrührt, vehement dagegen. Das jedoch ist völlig normal. Menschen sind Machttiere, und jede Sozialstruktur kann an die Machtinteressen bestimmter Gruppen angepasst werden. Das ist es, was dummerweise mit Religionen passiert. Und die großen Weltreligionen sind in meinen Augen heute alle weit entfernt von ihren schamanischen Wurzeln, in hohem Maße zu deren Nachteil.
